Goolwa has been blessed with the opening of a number of high quality and reasonably priced restaurants and cafes over the past twelve months or so.The Oven is the latest and it has started off with a bang.situated within a stone's throw of two existing pizza places, the Oven offers all the usual pizza fare with the addition of some innovative specials and a range of curry dishes as well.Not new in Goolwa, but the Oven smashes it.Friendly and efficient staff, a clean and crisply tidy premises that just draws you in the minute you enter.We had telephoned our order through and were surprised it would only take 15 minutes.We arrived on time and our pizza had just come out of the oven. Reasonable priced too.When we got home we found the pizza to be as ordered, flavorsome and a generous topping without being over the top.Probably the best pizza we have ever had in Goolwa so we will definitely be back.Well done to the Oven - you have hit the ground running. Keep up the good work.

If U wanna go out for expensive food this is it. If U want good pizza, go elsewhere. It was expensive and barely had any ingredients on it. Wouldn't go back.

Victor Harbor is crying out for good restaurants and I had heard good things about this one. Unfortunately both the mulloway and the linguine marinara was dry and over cooked. The octopus was leathery, the mussels tough and the one prawn was underdone, and not enough broth or herbs. Very disappointing.Dear Chris , Thank you for your review, sorry if our staff didnât explain to you that there is currently an issue with the availability of local fish. The weather has been terrible and limiting the supply of fresh fish and due to this some of our recent fish has been on the dryer side. I will be happy to refund your the costs of your meals or at least please come in to give us a second chance . Our fish and linguine allo scoglio is very popular and we usually always have great responses to these meals,Kind Regards Luigi

We dined here on recommendation of our accommodation host whilst staying in Encounter Bay. Interesting place with nice ambience. Cafe/Restaurant/Bar. Good menu options, though mostly wood-fired pizzas and curries on offer. Enjoyed the pizza - good size, tasty, reasonable price. Drinks (at bar prices) are a bonus. Friendly & efficient service in a nice location overlooking the beach.
