Metaponto Lido on a weekday afternoon in May is a fairly abandoned place. Luckily we found this trattoria with its outdoor seating, where the lunch menu was limited but good. They offered a few pizzas, pastas, and fish dishes. We opted for the pastas, way better than expected. I must confess that we got a kick out of watching two local policemen eating at an adjacent table--plenty of cigarettes, wine, and no one was in a hurry! As I said, this is a sleepy area off-season.thanks a lot, i m very glad to you. see you soon as possiible!

Modern restaurant with an excellent quality and service. The taste is genuine, the fish was slow cooked in the oven covered with salt. The taste was delicious. The deserts were home made, tiramisu prepared in an old fashioned way. If you are near this restaurant it is worth a visit. The quality is high, the price is moderate. More then you pay for homecooking restaurants, but realy a good value for money.

Quite difficult to reach, you have to follow Porto (between Metaponto and Pisticci) from Highway 106. And go inside the private condominium of Porto degli Argonauti (turning right and not left when you arrive). The place is wonderful and quite.The restaurant has a nice view on the pier and the yachts.My best experience is not to choose something from the menu but when I leave the Chef to imagine what I prefer. And he is able to make the job as well. Prices are OK for the quality and the high level of gastronomy. For the 2nd or 3rd time, I recommend this place.

This is a little gem of a beach restaurant. They also offer beach services with rental of parasols and lounge chairs. It's kind of tucked away in a little known area. You could almost miss it but once you get there it's great. The beach is beautiful with clear blue waters and well maintained. There's a bar with food for the beach and little lounge tables. The best part though is the restaurant. Highly recommended. They seafood is fresh every day. The dishes change constantly depending on the catch of the day. There's always one or two pastas to chose from with different fish or shellfish and then seconds which can vary widely and were always a welcome surprise (we went back several times during our vacation). Our kids don't like fish and they made simple chicken tenders and french fries for them while we enjoyed the gourmet stuff. Prices are high for the area but still very reasonable for what you get. Wonderful place

Abbiamo avuto il privilegio di pranzare in qsto agriturismo... dico "privilegio" perchè ci hanno trovato un posticino nonostante fosse tutto pieno e tutto prenotato! Siamo stati trasportati dai sapori locali, genuini e prelibati,dall'antipasto fino al dolce... ma soprattutto teneramente coccolati dalla gentilezza e cortesia del personale! Onore alla cuoca e allo staff! Ci è piaciuto tutto tutto!!!l'ambiente rustico,la natura intorno,le materie prime di altissima qualità e il modo sublime di assemblarle e cucinarle! Una nota particolare alla "borragine in pastella" (mai assaggiata prima), il salamino piccante (assolutamente casareccio) e la fantastica lasagna di zucca!!! Speriamo di tornare presto!

Located over the piazza looking down on the masses I felt almost cut off from the atmosphere below. The service is good but bordering on overly stuffy. The seafood was super fresh, tasty and well presented though the batter in the mixed fried seafood was heavier than normally found in local competitors. But for our party the food quality though good wasn't good enough to compensate for the stuffy service and the final bill which raised more than a slightly raised eyebrow.

We have eaten here many times over the last few years and we just keep coming back for more. Fresh local produce cooked simply with the minimum of fuss and always served with a smile. The starter of the house just keeps coming, be careful not to over order. Then the meaty mains, thick Succulent steaks, mixed pork grill and don't miss the chicken, it's not on the menu but just ask. Local wine in jug all alfresco in busy buzzing atmosphere.
