My daughters LOVE the ice cream here. We go regularly. I love the wide variety of ice slushies ("granizadas") and usually order the coffee or lemon flavors. I do NOT like the pizzas. We only tried them in off-season and they did NOT have fresh ingredients. My daughter got sick with the canned mushrooms. The ice cream, however, is very good. The service can be very good or terrible depending on their mood and the amount of business. When they are in a visibly bad mood we ignore it, but a smile would be nice. In any case, the ice cream is very good.

We dropped in just to collect a couple of take away paniniâs - then read the menu. They definitely catered for the English - ribeye steak nice thick chips garlic mushrooms garlic prawns as well as a beautiful lasagne numerous pizzas fillet of fish garlic bread - I could go on lol. We booked for the next night and had the best meal so far. The food was cooked to perfection - George and Illiarna ( sorry if thatâs misspelt ) were excellent hosts - nothing was too much trouble. We arranged to spend a birthday celebration there on the following Sunday night - table was reserved for 6 of us and waiting for our arrival. Again the meal was spot on - and we made different choices from our first visit. I had the best steak Iâve had in a very long time. We plan to go back before we come home - the front is quite small so donât be put off - the restaurant was lovely and they have outside seating front and overlooking the beach and sea at the back. I would rate this restaurant and the staff as 10/10.Thank you very much guys! Was pleasure for us! And we had a lot of fun with you and your friends! Really hope to see you this summer again! Take care!

Really enjoyed lunch here. Daily menu determined by market ingredients. Small menu but each dish is âhome madeâ. Really great pasta and salad as you would expect. Definitely the place to eat on VRSA if you can get in. Small number of tables.Thank you for the review. Hope to have you with us soon again.

I visit Vila real every year and always look forward to a good pizza from here. We always have the kebab pizza special, and are never disappointed.This time we called and had it delivered to our apartment. Great service within 30 minutes, warm and tasty

Tiny little restaurant but so friendly. Food was incredibly good. Would certainly recommend. Been to Italy many times and this was some of the best Italian food I have eaten.Grazie mille!!!...Ci auguriamo di potervi rivedere.

For us to enjoy a great dining experience we expect many things: a friendly welcome; authenticity; fresh local ingredients, cooked well; a chef passionate about his food; good wine; an ambience that encourages diners to relax and enjoy their meal; service that is professional and with empathy for the needs of customers. We were delighted to find all these things in four visits to Restaurante Ernesto over a period of three weeks.After just two months in Vila Real de Santo Antonio, Chef Ernesto and partner Anna have made an excellent start, following their move to the town from Rome.
