Nicks is one of the better Pizza places in the area. The food is typically consistent and well presented. They make a really good cranberry salad with goat cheese, and all the food I've eaten from there has been really good. My only issue with this place is the owner who will on occasion speak rudely to customers. However, the rest of the staff are very pleasant. They don't take credit cards or debit cards and don't dare ask!

We order food to take out. The hot antipasto is excellent with generous portions enough for 2. We make this a meal with their huge chicken fingers! We've also ordered their cold antipasto salad which also was enough for 2. Great parking and close to walking distance and bus service if need be.

In this typical northern NJ Italian restaurant, the service is great and the food is very good. However, itâs not anything you havenât seen in other Italian restaurants. Itâs also very cramped and as others have noted, can get a bit noisey. Our server was attentive, everything came out perfectly. Donât plan on any leftovers to enjoy another day as portions are ample for your meal, just not âgenerousâ. Drinks are pricey, as are their desserts. Owners are on hand to great you and make sure everything is as it should be during your ,dining time there. Our table had an assortment of dishes. Steak, ravioli, & 3 different mixed seafood combos. All perfectly cooked. Bread comes with an interesting tomatoes relish of sorts. They have a large parking lot and the bar is often crowded.

There are many reasons they have been in business so long, but the main one is the high level of quality that goes into everything from the locally sourced ingredients to the helpful, friendly staff, the frequent menu upgrades and modern dining room and comfortable old school Italian restaurant experience that is becoming more difficult to find these days with all the corporate chains doing cheap knockoffs of traditional, family owned high quality local establishments like Roman's. So skip the chains and go right to the source.

Warm welcoming staff serving excellent food. The chick pea soup was tasty and served hot. Pasta with artichoke was excellent in white wine and chicken marsala with shrimp was delicious. Their menu is large and they are accommodating to food issues. We will definitely return

We visited as a couple last week to celebrate our anniversary . Sanzariâs has been recommended to us by friends and reviews looked great. However we were left a bit flat by the experience . Things that were good- staff weâre great- pork chop did live up to hype- ambience was lively , layouts good - wine was nice - sitting at bar before meal was pleasant, they had a good singer on and the bar staff were friendly Things that were not great- my wifeâs teriyaki calamari was awful, it was coated in a sticky sweet and sour sauce and was nothing like it was described on the menu . It was like a Chinese take away dishâs and was far to big. - my lasagne was bland and tasteless, I was really looking forward to it with it being an old fashioned Italian I expected a great lasagne. It was supermarket quality at best unfortunately and again far to big. - at the end of the evening we felt rushed out, we didnât sit till 9 and everyone had gone, the feeling was they were waiting for us to get up and leave. - bill, it was too pricey for the quality of the food we received . At the time we tried to brush it off as we had a nice evening overall but on reflection it didnât come up to scratch on the food front. Will probably not return which is a real shame .......

My family is new to Dumont and we where in a pinch for diner on Christmas night. We found Il Mulino open and placed an order for pickup. 1 chicken parm over pasta, 3 Lobster bisque soup with artificial lobster in it, 1 chicken fingers w fries, 1 steak (terribly seasoned and tough obviously frozen at some point), 1 penne w vodka sauce, 2 tiramisu (2inx2in peices), 1 carrot cake slice (wasn't even 3 inches) and one canoli (looked like it melted long ago/had to scrape the insides up to eat it) cost me $170 !!!! IN DUMONT? I pay that in the city but the food is actually good. The person that took my order over the phone was great, polite, responsive and very professionalWaiters where walking around with dirty shirts, collars up and shirts open with their ties loosened and hanging. I viewed 3 of them.I saw the itemized bill before it was removed from view. It was not offered to me. I saw an extra $30 charge tacked on at the end (not tax). I was told the menu was shortened for the holiday which I completely understood but I guess they jacked the prices up as well for the holiday. MERRY CHRISTMAS! Like i said I was in a pinch but thinking about that really gets me going. The food was so, so. Nothing great at all and I will not bring my family there to dine. Too bad, I have a lot of friends I will be letting know of my experience.

Food is very good but so is Italian connection and the owner at Italian connection is much nicer. The man behind the counter at Uncle Franks isn't very nice and slaps your change on the counter instead of handing it to you. I might suggest putting somebody a bit nicer to deal with the customers.
