Contrary to Ancient wisdom the sun doesn't rise, we do. Yet, the more we travel the more the world pushes back, crawling us and controlling us. So, we seek a PLACE where we are given a chance not just to get up, but to rise.To me Gerber was not only a Coffee Shop, or a braserie or a restaurant. It was more. It was the first PLACE i ve wanted to visit early morning, after my first Coffee in Kandahar, it was the place where i liked to read the Nouvellist, listening to my i pod, where songs like Gabriel Belmudes-Canto de Sereia, Armen Miran Nani Jan, Stromae - la Pluie, or Wonderful Loreen - nothing else matters(live At Polar Prize 2018) matched like a glove the shy sun beams that softly touched my skin, or his hand holding mine while i talk nonsense. For me Gerber was the restaurant where, for 22 sfr i could eat a delicious mousse of Salmon, together with slices of beef meat and smashed potatoes. It is The place where i ve had the most delicious creme brulee in my life, and where they serve the biggest hot chocolate i ve ever seen.... Even late, after 7 pm. Also, it is the place where the waiter gave me the nicest smile i saw in months, together with a presentation of the Menu of the Day, în italian,and where the Owner of the restaurant said '' hello'' and asked if the food was fine.YES, the food is fine At Gerber and The service is perfect, and thank you for that and for The Best Coffee i ve had in my Last past days and The delicious Apple pie that comes with it. As November is approaching, i wish to melt the Time and to return soon în beautiful Crans, as for me it is The place where i can not only get up, but RISE.

We wanted some quick lunch and decided for the terrasse of the âMemphisâ. Although not very occupied it took a while before we received some service. We ordered a greek salad and a roasted chicken. The salad arrived reasonably quick the chicken order did not make it and had to be reordered and finally turned out fried and very greasy. The location is nice and the terrasse a nice spot but we have probably chosen a bad day. The experience could have been a lot better...

Someone recommended this place for their wood-fired pizzas so we went and ordered three of them, all rather bland (both the dough and the toppings), nothing really amiss but nothing exciting either, your typical Swiss pizza joint.Service was very nice and accommodating (Capri is a popular place for Sunday lunch), all in all, with a different expectation level, this would have been a perfectly suitable pizza lunch).

Return visit to this Swiss restaurant serving traditional food including a variety of fondues. The Café du Centreâs Entrecote sauce de Paris is plain delicious â the meat is tender and perfectly cooked and the sauce is worth bottling. Repeat, very happy customer.

Must say that the only reason we used the restaurant was we were staying in the hotel and there did not seem to be a lot else close by.Saying that, the food and the service were excellent. Limited choice but all what we tried was well presented and excellent quality. Thank you for your nice feedback !I agree, why go out ;)

This is one of the only places open all year round in crans hence always busy. The food is your typical Italian, good food not excellent and tourist prices. Staff are friendly and atmosphere is good but it is a tourist location. Worth a visit if you want good Italian food...

The food and service at this restaurant is what you would expect. The pasta and pizza are excellent. Eating outside in the warm weather is a great. The chef's recommendations, especially of the wines should be considered.

We were introduced to this restaurant for Sunday lunch. Super nice manager and staff. WOW. An amazing spread of different Italian charcuterie thinly sliced meats. The mortadella with truffle was melt in the mouth. Salads, cheese, smoked salmon, extremely thinly sliced octopus salad ( delicious) It didnât stop. Pumpkin soup, stuffed tiny peppers, linguine ( Black Ink) with seafood. Then, a choice of fish or meat. Again , tender venison with sauce morels, grilled filet of fish. Desserts, so many to choose from. Pièce de résistance freshly made âbomboloni â like donuts, but much lighter and filled with a cream made with mascarpone & limoncello. To top it off a glass of limoncello. We needed a hammock afterwards to rest! Thank you for such a delicious lunch. Definitely we will return.
