We stopped off here during a stay in Castlebar. Very nice food and good service. Broad choice of pizzas.

The Pizza Bros

Visited with a friend, ordered two pizza's, both were burned at the base which left an unpleasant after taste. The toppings were not evenly spread, which meant some slices had no toppings at all. Overall the Pizza were extremely average and the whole place kinda feels like a Dough Bros knock off.

Mulberry Restaurant

Located in the Breaffy House Hotel

Reviewed By limavadypride

This restaurant is the signature restaurant of lovely Breaffy Woods Hotel where we enjoyed a lovely break recently. Had 2 beautiful breakfasts here but we both found dinner in Mulberry restaurant underwhelming. At breakfast, tables were strategically set out with plenty of space. However tables for two for dinner were set out in serried rows, reminiscent of one of those photographs of 19th century National Schools in the nearby Museum of Countrylife. We were privy to the endearments being bandied about in adjoining tables. While service was efficient and pleasant, we both found our meal in this restaurant falling below expectation. Starters of smoked duck and salad lacked any wow factor. My monkfish on spicy linguini was tasty but the accompanying carrots and broccoli did not blend at all. My wife’s turkey and ham was adjudged to be very bland and no sauce was offered. The plates suited my monkfish dish but not a steak dish. We didn’t have a dessert. Overall, a pricy menu but much more imagination and verve in cooking was needed. There were no daily specials and it was a very safe menu. We expected better and our Dining Room experience the previous evening highlighted our sense of disappointment with our Mulberry experience. Have to say that while food was disappointing, the service was super-lovely friendly with very hard-working staff!
