The opportunity to try an all-chestnut dinner was just too attractive not to try, and the kitchen did not disappoint. There was even chestnut beer available, which was not bad at all. We had the chestnut gnocchi and chestnut mousse, both delicious. Of course these were special courses not available all the time, but the creativity and the resulting tastes seem to be indicative of the quality of the kitchen. The hotel was very nice, clean and well organised and the staff were super friendly and always happy to give tips and advice. The location was perfect for us as we had no car and could walk to town and bus/train station. The breakfast was superb with everything you could wish for and the little pool and garden out the back a welcome place to relax after a hike. Overall we loved our stay here and would definitely come again.In regards to the rooms it is worth asking about size and location when booking. Ours was quite small with balkony towards the road which was a bit loud unfortunately.Dear Guest, Thank you for the fantastic review and feedback after your recent stay with us. Getting charged â¬1 for a glass of tap water??? Thatâs after my friend and I ordered 2 glasses of prosecco, a quarter of red wine and 2 delicious but very salty pizzas. Greed has gone too far in the sleepy town of Brixen :(

Food was excellent from start to finish and it was difficult to choose between the menu options. Food was seasonal and staff were knowledgeable and made an effort to explain the dishes and their provenance. Great location with a sunny terrace and amazing views. Highly recommended!

Jasmine offers cuisine of immaculate technique, precision and ability. The dishes give an impression of total control and almost maniacal attention to details. The flavours are marvellously clean, despite coming from combinations that reveal a taste for complexity, opulence, and also boldness. This chef stretches the palette of flavours using all modern techniques, but without overdoing it. And there is playfulness and obvious generosity. BUT is has to be said that depriving customers of choice and forcing them to make up their minds days or weeks in advance (i.e. when booking) on how many dishes they intend to eat, and whether it is going to be fish or not, pushes control-freakery a bit too far, and it also gives the chef an âunfairâ advantage compared to other colleagues that have to take more risks for the sake of putting his customers more at ease. Commercially, too, it looks like a strange choice, for you can only go to Jasmin if you are prepared to have a gargantuan meal, never simply to relax. The service is conducted by âmumâ with courteousness and smiles but also with a touch of distance and a lack of genuine warmth. There is a feel of everything being a bit mechanical. There is no sense that in the room staff really care for or understand what the chef in the kitchen is pursuing. On one visit, there were also unacceptable delays during the meal (with only 8 people to serve). And the helping waitress was terribly awkward. On balance, this restaurant has a service problem, considering its high status.So while the food itself is top notch, the things 'around' the meal make the experience, while very good,not a perfect one.Dear Guest,thank you for your rating on Tripadvisor. We suppose that your stay was years ago. We would like to communicate that many things have changed in the last two years. âMumâ is actually not doing the service anymore.We would like to specify that there is not an unfair advantage comparing us with other colleagues. The chef is alone in the kitchen. Thatâs his choice, but there is no staff. Everything in the kitchen has to be done by one person. So there is no advantage! Belle adresse dans le petit village de Velturno. Nous avons été un peu déçus car la carte affichée à l'extérieur ne correspond pas du tout à la carte (avec menu d'ailleurs) du jour qui nous a été proposée une fois installés. Ceci dit les plats proposés nous ont plu et nous nous sommes régalés. Nous n'avons pas résisté à l'osso bucco et risotto à la Milanaise, excellent mais un peu moins copieux que ceux qui nous ont été servis par ailleurs. L'accueil est tout à fait agréable. A tenter une deuxième fois!

Nice and elegant restaurant, but in a dark location on the side outside of the freeway. Food is well prepared, very rich and at the end of good quality. They lack of service: we asked for two glasses of wine (a Sauvignon Blank and a Pinot Noir) and they did not show the bottle or at least say the name of the producers. The waiters do not talk and do not describe the dishes so you risk to receive a bad surprise: that is what happened when we ordered a desert that was supposed to be balls of ricotta filled with gianduia chocolate on a bed of vanilla cream: we expected a nice, cold desert after a rich menu to refresh our mouths and came out to be a warm desert not appealing at all that we did not eat. We said the waiter our disappointment and he answered just that the desert is what it is, without offering any apology or proposing a different desert. We asked information about another desert and he said nothing else but the name written in the menu. This is disappointing. Too bed because we enjoyed the first time here, but not this one, and we are very sorryâ¦..
