Hus Lindman is an inconspicuous establishment that resides behind Turku Cathedral and overlooks the Aura River. Inside this unpretentious building diners are offered a lunchtime extravaganza of a quality cold (typically Scandinavian) buffet together with a set menu for hot food with coffee and a large selection of desserts. The staff are well appointed, very efficient and conduct their business in a discreet and professional manner. The interior too is clean and elegant with a neutral decor that presents a calm and relaxing environment. This is most certainly a venue for anyone on a limited budget who wants only the very best but be forewarned that lunch menus are only served Monday-Friday

Hügge is wonderfully located next to the beautiful old library building. The area is full of good restaurants. Hügge is vegetarian, and the pea risotto I had for lunch was very tasty but a bit too porridge like. The friendly waitress was able to choose a crispy pinot grigio that went nicely together with the meal. The best part of my experience was watching the people walk and cycle past me and my friend. There are no cars on the area. The river view is beautiful.Thank you for your review!Really nice to hear that your experience at Hügge was great and food was tasty.

Interesting concept. Edgar Allen Poe circus theme. Mid to expensive prices. Free popcorn though. Ordering off their app is novel. Still would prefer a waiter. Self serve. Order via app, then you pick up your drinks or food. Make sure your phone is charged because they send you an sms when they prepare and then when to pick up your order. It’s all tapas. Tasty small potions. Weird thing, everything I ordered came doubled. Except the drinks. Maybe it was intentional but we needed doggie bags. Most of the food was tasty. The natural burger or slider Is kid size. But we got like 4, only ordered 2. The potstickers were good. Ordered 2 got four, Cheese pasta, weird taste. Maybe it appeals to the Finnish taste bud. Over cooked and not what I expected. It came in a Cute little frying pan. I’m sure the pan is a hot item for theft. Great for a Betty Crocker stove. Tried the Korean ribs. Tender, but no taste. Maybe suited for kids palet. Teriyaki chicken and skewers were good. Also the tiny expensive desserts were good. Specially the brownie ice cream and the crème brûle. Got 4 also. With the upgrades in portions, it all seemed fair. Maybe that’s on purpose. I was happy. It’s either a kids place, or perfect after a round of THC consumables. They do have adult beverages. Pricey but in line with other restaurants. Did drop 80 euro for 4 people, including 12 year old highland scotch and you’ll need one. They also serve Laphroigs which surprised me. Beer too. No doubles there! But after all was said and done I got an sms that I scored 3 more tapas on my next visit! They hook you. Now I have to go back. The kids beverages are walking sugar factories. And they are basically mason jars of ice with a dash of colorful syrup and sour patch candy. Just order them coke or water. Kids love the place and that’s really all the matter$, right.

The indoors are quite a small space so it is fairly tight, especially for the staff who seemed to struggle just a little when serving customers. There is also a lovely outdoors area but only for dry weather. Food was altogether very good ( maybe the pizza was not quite as superb as expected but very ok). The Korean buns were so delicious that you easily overeat, the portion could easily feed two.

Central location between marketplace and riverfront. Interior quite basic(except grand piano!) and really short menu. We took a 5 course tasting menu, which was "built" from that menu(Black Angus Picanha was our main). Service was really friendly and we had a nice dinner. They use lots of Finnish ingredients and especially cheeses and blueberry themed dessert were great. No "surprises"/amuse bouche's from kitchen, but still 55€/person was reasonable for all that.
