We came across this restaurant by chance as we were strolling through Turrialba. This is a simple place, with some tables scattered around and some paintings for sale on the walls. Service from the beginning was difficult because we understood there was a certain fear of talking in English and we were left on our own ignored for most of the meal and nearly had to beg for our bill. Even tough, we ate what was probably the best Chicken Rice in all of CR, we tried again in many places but there was never one that nearly resembled the taste of this one. All in all, I would return here if I ever had the chance.

This place is an excellent option for seafood, specially fish and octopus. Also, the menu of entries is very wide in options to choose. In addition, the peruvian beverages offered here are great, I did not realize Inca Cola has a zero option (no calories). However, Chicha Morada was not available this day.

My wife and I have lived on the East side of San Jose for 10 years with our three boys. When we are ready for a quiet night out, or a pretty place to take visitors, we head up the hill to Maderos. The view is great, and the food is always good. We went last Friday for my wife's birthday. We shared an ayote (squash) soup. She had the shrimp risote, I had the fish. Another great night.

We have eaten at Arasa twice in the last month, both times we had pizza and salad and both times it was excellent. The restaurant has many more entrees and perhaps we will try something different next time. This is a very comfortable restaurant for us, contemporary decor...very clean....great soundtrack music. It's owned by two young ladies from Venezuela who are charming people. It's located in plaza "Via San Juan" almost directly across from Saul and Mocopan restaurants. I wish we had not waited so long to try this place. It's now one of our favorites.
