So good to be able to enjoy the varied quality Casa Pascal menu and service here in Pattaya.Difficult to order, only because too many choices. Menus vary regularly and chefs do all cuisines justice.Wine list and cocktails are excellent. The amuse bouches and sorbet served to enhance your palates are great fun. Costs totally in line for this menu and service. Will be back.

Since our first visit in December 2015 we had enjoyed repeat visits two or three times a year. After a space of a good six months we have just made another visit. The front staff have changed, and oh, what a disappointment they are.We phoned last Friday for a booking on Monday. So was surprised when on Saturday evening the restaurant manager phoned to check we were ready for the taxi. Reminded him our booking was for Monday! When Monday came he again phoned; we told him we were ready and to send the taxi. Later the taxi driver phoned to ask where we were... the restaurant manager had sent him to a wrong hotel instead of our apartments. A portent of things to come!We brought our own wine. I had to tell the manager to take the red wine out of an ice bucket, and then had to ask him three times to open it so it could breath. He didn't seem to comprehend why.As previously, we delight in being able to share each course together. Ordered the scallops with caviar plus the foie gras together for starters, which were delightful as expected. For mains we ordered the Lamb Rossini plus the Aussie beef tenderloin. Both meats 'medium'. The lamb arrived cut so easy to share, but the beef arrived as a single steak. We asked the manager to get the kitchen to slice the steak so easy to share. We waited, and waited. When I called the manager he explained they had discovered when slicing the steak it was well done instead of medium. Why did he not tell us what was happening and give us the option? Instead without asking us, they ditched the steak and began re-cooking another portion. Meanwhile the lamb and three side dishes of vegetables were getting cold. The beef arrived after about 7 minutes. We even had to ask for serving spoons for each of the side dishes. Hardly fine dining.For desert we asked for rum & raisin ice cream plus profiteroles - both our favourites - and again to share. We were told the chef hadn't made any profiteroles today, so it was the ice cream only. Two scoops arrived in one dish. I asked the manager if it was expected in a five star restaurant that the guests both eat out of the same dish? It was taken away and replaced with two single servings in single dishes.The cuisine is good, but it seemed to us there was a distinct lack of communication between the restaurant and the kitchen. Clearly, the restaurant manager lacks 5-star training and doesn't know his trade. Praise to the temporary girl behind the bar counter. It seemed she was the only one attentive to catch our eye whenever we looked up.We are judging by the standards set by the previous restaurant manager and his staff, and who provided us on previous occasions with exemplary service. We felt not only disappointed but betrayed... having recommended Moonlight to our friends.We were clearly disappointed. At no time did we receive any apology... not even offered a liquor as a token gesture. The manager is evidently one of those rare people who never makes a mistake. I told him to make sure he didn't add a service charge to the bill.It is unlikely we shall return whilst the present incumbent is there.

Patrick's is conveniently located near 2nd road, tucked in the back near some other competing steakhouses. It is a comparatively small restaurant (inside) which I think is a definite advantage. It is quite well lit and decorated with pictures of Route 66 memorabilia. At the time of our visit the background music was Rock and Blues which then conveys an overall "american" setting. The restaurant is exeptionally clean - I mention it here since this is something that is strikingly positively noted.The service is absolutely friendly and very attentive - there is nothing to complain about. I cannot understand any rewiew that says otherwise.The menu is more then extensive enough - it is supposed to be a steakhouse after all and there are various cuts of different origin available. It is worth noting that the meat quality is indeed different depending on what you order. The Australian Beef Steak is absolutely marvellous but we did detect a noticeable difference to the Chateaubriand - which is served in a generous portion with two side dishes and two sauces of your choice.We found the Bearnaise to be a bit on a sour side and the pepper sauce might be a matter of taste. The salad served is not bad but standard. Good frittes as should be expected of a Belgium restaurant. Oh and yes - there is some special Belgian beer available with above "normal" alcohol content. Nice.The Crepe Suzette they offer is one of the best I had in Pattaya so far (although I suspect it might not have seen any Cointreau, but I may be mistaken). The chocolate mousse is a quite bitter variety. But the claim that both are home made is very much credible and much appreciated.All in all a friendly restaurant with good steaks (I would like to recommend the Australian Beef). And do not miss the Crepes Suzettes. Of course, this is all not cheap but after all its a steakhouse and the bill is still acceptable in the end for what it is. I can recommend to give Patrick's Belgian Restaurant a try.

Laongs bistro was a pleasurable experience from start to finish Good food nice place well recommended we will defiantly go back and recommend to our friends. The menu is different to other bistro type places that we have been in pattaya they offer some fusion type dishes the menu has photos of a lot of the dishes but not all the haddock fish was excellent! as was the coffee (gourmet coffee) service was subtle and effective.

Some time ago I gave a mixed review to Le Caprice which criticised the food. I am delighted to say that there has been a wonderful improvement. The pre-diiner drinks are first class and served with complimentary amuse gueules.The menu is very well judged, created by cooking of the highest quality and very delicious.The restaurant- always beautiful - looked pristine and sharp. Thibault and Morc, along with the other members of staff, were charming and attentive.To this cynical diner, the whole experience was a treat. My stay here was extremely comfortable. Beautiful property with tropical feels. Loved the large range of vegetarian and vegan options in the breakfast. Used to look forward to it each morning. Was impressed to see the hotel having replaced plastic with refillable glass bottles for water in the rooms. Hotel is just on the beach side and placed in the heart of Pattaya City with almost all the tourist attractions close by. Staff was courteous and warm. There is nearly nothing good about this dining venue except the tomato soup. The menu is deceptive and the main course food bland. You do not get what the menu describes and the presentation is sub-standard. The owner/manager argues with the diners and tries to lie himself out of a corner when confronted. Not a pleasant experience to dine here. In fact this place can be described as a tourist trash trap. DO NOT waste your time and money in this under par rip off.Thanks for the review only sad the see that just a small misunderstanding is the reason to post this bad review.We totally agree with the fact that the special offer display was not clear. 1 croquette for 80 baht and on the photo was viewing 2 croquettes. The fact that you say by yourself already that the price was to cheap for 2 croquettes is telling directly that you was looking for a problem. That we give you free 1 more croquette is not viewed in your review.Sad to hear that you totally unhappy with everything from our restaurant. Next time please tell us directly and don't eat everything and come then with a review that is not telling the truth story. We are happy that we have many happy customers...
