Recently stayed in the Altera and while the location is excellent near the center of the town I have to say that the hotel is very basic in terms of room comforts. What I mean is Small Bed, Sparse Basic Room, Bathroom very small and cramped, only advantage was walk in wardrobe which is a waste really. Dining room OK though and breakfast was good as well. Thats it really.

We recently visited the Woebken Restaurant and had a fantastic German meal. Ordering lunch comes with a soup and dessert, and prices are reasonable. the Wobken tends towards regional and seasonal dishes, and it was chanterelle mushroom season so most entrees came with it. Dessert was simple, but good - vanilla ice cream with "Rote Gruetze," or a red berry sauce. Portions are large, and the service was good. Prices were reasonable.

Invited for business dinner the restaurant was busy for banquet. This generates a reduced menu. Atmosphere is good but not completely satisfactory. I had much more expectations. I would like to come back there again

Nice place with diverse folks. Many students but also older folks. Service mixed and srrongly dependent on whom you have as a waiter. Good drinks, cold beer and a noce atmosphere. In particular summertime is great for the rooftop terrace. Did not try food but friends say it is good.

Ist schon seltsam warum Bars/Restaurants immer wieder so einen Ausschlag an Leistung bieten. Mal top und dann wieder Mist.Wir hatten diesmal Mist im Angebot. Inkompetente Bedienung, unfreundlicher Chef und dann wollten die uns auch noch verarschen.Fazit: Nein Danke!

Topas ist so eine Mischung von Steak House und Balkanrestaurant. Umfangreiche Speisekarte, Portionen gross.Hatten Schweinefilet Vjesalica, Zaziki, Cordon Bleu, Fitness Pfanne, Cevapcici. Essen nichts besonderes, etwas fettig. Fleisch etwas zu zäh, Bohnen zu hart.Preise ok.Was beim Schweinefilet das âVjesalicaâ eigentlich bedeutet, konnte oder wollte das Personal nicht erklären.

The team at Bestial is friendly and attentive.It is well located right by the former city walls of Oldenburg, opposite the "Staatstheater" and offers both inside and outside seating. Their chef experiments with unusual flavour and combinations. I would say that their forte are home made pastas. My "coconut kiss" alcohol free cocktail was a touch too sweet for me, but that was to be expected.My attempt at constructive criticism on my meal (home made pasta with fried liver and pear) was accepted and we received grappa on the house from their friendly staff.Despite some shortcomings I enjoyed the visit and would recommend this place.

ELENA restaurant is a unique experience. Food is always fresh and delicious!!!All of the employees are very friendly and they are welcome us with a sincere smile. We always have great time with ELENA's family. I strongly recomend it to everybody!
