We had high expectation with this beach restaurant since our reservation two weeks ago was canceled. The place and location is beautiful and the view is amazing. There were 6 of us and all our meals were mediocre. I think they put all their investment in decorating and furnishing the restaurant and forgot to set aside a budget for the food. The plates and decor could have matched the food on them in terms of quality and taste.My fish was ok but tasteless and I had to share sauces with my friend on the other end of the table. The side of mashed potatoes is 80 pesos extra. My friend ordered rack of lamb but came as two raw lamb chops. Extra pay for mashed potatoes and asparagus.The spaghetti vongole was undercooked and lacking in flavour and clam meat. You can buy clam meat in can to supplement the fresh clams, you know. Appies of fish chicharron and asparagus beef are fine but really small and lacking in sauce. The desserts all taste the same, chocolate cake or black forest cake. Too much cocoa, not enough chocolate. They taste like dusty twinkies. It was a very disappointing meal, small portions and all the sides are a la carte. It almost scream of franchise food of all the Marival restaurants. We had to double check our bill as our bar bill got included again when it was already paid at the bar. The only saving grace was that the service was very good. Come for the view, ambience and some drinks.Dear guest,We are very sorry to read your experience. delicious! The dinner menu here was so good! I enjoyed a tasty medium prepared steak with this gourmet style potato. A fresh salad to start and eloquent glass of wine made for a perfect meal! Every staff member treated us like royalty!

My family went to La Casona for breakfast and dinner!! Both times we were immediately greeted by the friendly staff and shown to a table quickly. We had outstanding service the two nights we ate dinner there with our favorite waiter Eduardo!! He made sure we were given the best food on the menu and was super friendly and funny. All you would want in a waiter!!! For breakfast we had Brandon and Lorena who were both super sweet and made sure we had a great meal to start our day off perfectly for vacation!! We really loved all the staff at La Casona and Villa La Estancia overall!!! Overlooking the beautiful ocean under a huge palapa roof is the buffet or menu service of Azul. The buffet area is impeccably clean. The foods are kept at proper temperatures and checked regularly. Hot foods are in an area, cold in another area. Many items are already plated on small dishes. A variety of bread and cheeses are offered, a salad area, seafood buffet and so many choices. The food is not your typical buffet but high quality & calibre of food. A pasta area, and so so much more. The service is also impeccable, the waiters will explain the foods though they have signs saying what each is, they will carry your plate to your set, get your drinks, always with a smile and they will go up to the buffet for you for that second seafood cocktail or whatever it is you must have. You can also order off the menu and have full service sit down meal. Casual attire and no reservations needed. We have been coming to this resort for 5 years now. Insu has always been terrific! Always excellent service! Everyone goes above and beyond to make the experience and food amazing every time!!
