The Hard Rock is a worldwide institution and deservedly so; however, this venue left us feeling a little lacklustre. First of all, the band, although decent, took very large intermissions, offered to indulge requests but then chose what they wanted to sing, and incorporated Ariana Grande amongst other teener bopper pop music into their lineup. The food is delicious and the drinks are strong but both are unnecessarily mercenary on the wallet. If you want to experience Australian food and drink prices in Malaysia, it's a great place to spend the evening. Three reasons to go there:1) best quality - tried the juice and drink and were delicious, made with high quality products2) cheap - much cheaper than everywhere else. 7 MYR for tiger can, 14 for cocktails3) best owner ever - very open and friendly, we played games together and had nice conversationsOverall top place to go for a drink in Maleka! I've been to this eatery 18 years ago and at that time really an unforgettable memories. After such a long hiatus, I've visited this place and truly has changed a lot. I don't see those waves hit the shores, not much customers, menu has changed and etc. The dishes we ordered were more like a typical Malay foods and insatiable. The waiters seems reminding us the last call would be at 11.45pm from the moment we arrive till we depart. They are concerned more on when customer will depart rather than handling customer service. It's a nice place which is set in a quiet tranquil, sea view, beer garden but totally mismanage. Absolutely, the owner did not take the initiative to promote, market the place and generate revenue. It's a fantastic place to draw the crowd and could be listed one of Malacca's visited place for dining but to no avail. Hope to see some changes on my next visit

The food spread was just obscene and just tempted the palate at every turn. Fish slice noodle soup was authentic and delicious. The cream of the experience goes to the kopi tarik by Hishammudin.
