We celebrated a birthday here tonight and had a lovely evening. The steak with 3 peppercorn sauce was superb and cook perfectly, and the monkfish and prawn skewers were delicious. The brownie dessert was extremely and yummy! The restaurant is right on the beach and the views are incredible, especially in the evening at sunset. It had a lovely atmosphere and the live music really added to it. We definitely recommend this restaurant, it was a fabulous start to the trip and really is somewhere very special. I went into book a table and I was greeted by Fernando, who instantly recognised me from last year and asked "where is the girls?" - meaning my daughter and wife. He said no problem and I asked if my wife could get the garclic mushrooms that were not on the specials, not a problem.The clams and mushrooms to start were lovely.The mains were swordfish and a chicken / beef kebab - also perfect.No room for mains as we were so full.A jug of house red was inexpensive and very tasty. Thanks again!!!

I ate at Muxama with my wife and a friend yesterday and we were really taken with everything. Very tasty food which was superbly presented too. Great house white and incredible desserts. Super-friendly service and very attentive. The restaurant itself is in a brilliant location, right on the beach. Not expensive either. We will definitely return when back in the area.

My family and I read about this restaurante on TripAdvisor and decided to try it while on holiday.You might miss it when you walk along the long, wide pavement because what is more visible is the ice cream, waffles (among other sweets, which are also sooo yummy) parlour with lots of sitting place outside.The restaurant is there too but you can sit inside and enjoy a lovely meal in a quite, relaxed, more private space.The owner is a wonderful host, speaks perfect English, and he's also an amazing cook. He opened the restaurant at lunchtime just for us (ever so thankful. He'll do it for you, too.) People in Monte Gordo prefer to enjoy the beach all day and have dinner rather than lunch.We all had different typical Thai dishes that he suggested and it was absolutely amazing. Fresh ingredients with lots of flavour. Everything was perfect!Can't wait for next year's summer holidays to go back.

Another holiday and another excellent meal at the Blue Parrot! This time I had the prawn coconut curry-delicious ! Friends had the fish and chips and a chicken salad-both were lovely and such good value for money . The service was superb-special mention to Lucy for looking after us so well! No 1 in my book! This is a sweet, familiar and nice Restaurant! The food is very, very tasty and Maria absolutely lovely! We felt so good when we ate here and had a big, great conversation with Maria. Even when we came at 21:30 o'clock, she gave us a three-course menu and was very careful to make us happy (and she did. We checked 90% of the restaurants in Manta Mar, but this was the best, because of her nice nature and the tasty food!! She asks about 5 times, if everything's okay and if you are happy and you can always say yes, because it is tasty, nice and homelike. If Maria Mar's would be in cologne, I'd go there every day. When you go there, check the tuna fish and the Shrimps out, the best shrimps I ever ate! Thank you for the nice time with you, Maria!!
