Daughter;s Birthday with Birthday Cake We got there a little earlier than what we booked so it was understandable there was i little waiting time until our Table was ready 6Adults and 8 year old Grandson it was only a short wait But we were offered A Bottle of a wine of choice was given We thought this a very good gesture ... There was a very good selection of meals I Chose the Steakl cooked as i liked all enjoyed the meals with a desert to follow

A friendly, family run 18th Century Country Pub serving quality traditional ales and home cooked quality food. Family friendly with patio, beer garden and children's play area set in the historical village of Blakedown, Kiddermister.

Prawns in the curry were not king prawns..The risotto was bland and lumpy. The steak was not tender, it was quite tough for a couple of our party. The staff were friendly enough, however, one of the waitresses when a member of our party said i ordered a side she said, no you didnt..even though we all heard her order the side the waitress repeated no you didnt...then said i can get you some, she tried to call her out..this is not good service. Plus side it was nice and quiet not rowdy. I dont think i would go here again.

Our first visit here with friends who recommended the Roedeer. We werenât disappointed.The building, decor and grounds are beautiful. The food was absolutely delicious. Freshly cooked, hot and VERY tasty. The staff are lovely, special mention to Matthew, Nothing is too much trouble.The Roedeer is definitely a place to celebrate a birthday or anniversary with a room upstairs enabling a larger party to celebrate without being disturbed.Plenty of choices here and decent sized portions. We were asked straight away if anyone in the party had any allergies or dietary requirements. Overall a really beautiful place, fabulous food and lovely staff.
