Found this place the first night and was pleasantly surprised by the sauce that came around the fish tajin. The couscous came with the fish tajin and was cooked perfectly and melted in my mouth. About 20k South from Essaouira, on the sea front, this cafe/restaurant is really great. Simple, only seconds from the sea, uninterrompted views of the Ocean, very quiet (except perhaps at weekends), an excellent place for a day of farniente away from Essaouira and its busy medina.Salads, homemade pies and fresh fishes (a la plancha or cooked: a MUST). All being very fresh and generously served.4 new rooms for those who want to stay overnight and enjoy the quietness of this little paradise, have just been completed (with private facilities). Small but stylish in a minimal way with separate terrace (on one side of the restaurant).A totally charming lady owner, laidback but truly professional. And a couple of friendly dogs walking on the nearby beach with you or chasing the local goats when they come too close to the property !!!!No swimming-pool, no Wifi, so perfect for a few days to get away from the madness of our world.Nearby, the fishing village of Sidi Kouaki with a beautiful beach and surfing facilities.15 minutes from Essaouira International Airport (!!!!) with direct flights to London Luton and Paris-Orly.No rental car needed unless one wants to drive to Essaouira (half the drive is on a dirt track as the road is being rebuilt).A perfect spot that took 12 years to complete, thanks to the owner ! We loved it !just one word : thanks !

This restaurant has only been open a few months but I predict in a couple of years you will struggle to get a table. The food and service are excellent. The decor is minimalist chic in creams and whites. The staff spoke good English and were helpful. Iâm a vegetarian and my husband and I shared a mezze of dips and Moroccan âcigarsâ - spring rolls stuffed with cheese and raisins - as starters. It was all delicious. I then had a layered aubergine bake (think Melanzane Parmigiana Moroccan style) and he had the fish of the day. Again great flavours and just the right amount of food. After the Vegetarian Berber tagine that I ate in the High Atlas this aubergine bake was the next best main course Iâve eaten in Morocco. We finished with a tiramisu and a chocolate mousse with cardamom. An excellent enterprise that deserves to do well and I would definitely put it on the list of go to restaurants in Essaouira.Hi Isabel! Apart from delicious, actually super delicious food, itâs also the restaurant with the most entertainment Iâve ever visited. From belly-dancers, to violinists, live bands, fire throwers and gnaoua(Moroccan dancers)! The place was fun, loud, crazy cool and everyone loved it!!! The owner, Didier, was charming and generous. We loved the interior of the place, very charming! Weâre going back for dinner tonight.

Situated in the most picturesque square, eating at BistrO is an experience you won't forget. As a vegetarian, I had many choices from the menu and had the most delicious dinner by far during my stay in Essaouira. Leo & staff are warm, fun, knowledgeable and there to ensure you have a great meal. The chic decor and great music also enhance the experience of BistrO. Enjoy!

We had dinner here and were pleasantly surprised w/the setting, ambience, quiet blues music playing during dinner and would certainly recommend enjoying dinner here. We didn't reserve ahead and were seated immediately. Others dining while there were another couple, and 2 families at different tables. Quiet and well behaved children.
