My Father, I and several colleagues have been working in Venlo for a month now, de Brasserie was one of the first restaurants we came across and since we haven't found anything comparable. The food is delicious and having ordered majority of the menu always exceeds my expectations. I would highly recommend the Borsch and the Mussels as they are my personal favourites however as stated previously, you cannot go wrong with anything on their menu. On our first visit we were greeted with smiles, kindness decorum and full knowledge of the menu, that has all continued for every visit. All the staff are truly beautiful and so friendly, a true asset to de Brasserie. Working away from home is hard but this restaurant and crew truly has made us feel like we have a home away from home!! Thank you guys we love you all and will most certainly be back :) xoxo

Had some awesome meals, and some average. My starter was absolutely divine, the Brunnenkresse suppe, but the main was not quite to my liking. It was the Heilbutt fish. Can only have myself to blame I guess. Coffee complete desert was out of this world again. Service was great and the wines good too. Can not fault them. All in all a great place to meet and eat.Hello Martin,Tank you for your review. Stayed in Venlo for one night. Decided to go for an Indonesian meal and wasn't disappointed. Service was excellent. Choice of food was good too. There was a menu board on a wall but no paper menu so was difficult to chose and remember. I ended up having 4 tapas which were good. It did have the fast food popularist feeling about it which is not really my style. A place to go I would say.

My wife, sister in law and I stopped for lunch here in Baarlo. The restaurant enjoys a beautiful position right on the river Mars and we were lucky enough to have a lovely spring day to sit outside and have s beer and something to eat. I had the burger which was excellent, my wife the croquettes and sister in law a toasted sandwich, all receiving positive comments. It was a bit busy so service was a touch slow, but like the river, we werenât in any hurry.

Etwas versteckt am Reiterhof Pappelhof liegt das Restaurant "Der Pappelhof".Leider etwas versteckt, sodass man es ohne Navi schlecht bis gar nicht findet.In einer rustikalen Scheune mit Charme werden die Gäste hier mit sehr guter italienischer Küche versorgt. Es gibt eine Standardkarte mit typischen Schnitzelgerichten sowie wöchentlich wechselnde Speisen. Von Fisch (Lachs, Gambas, Dorade.. etc.), verschiedene selbstgemachte Nudelspeisen und einer Fleischkarte mit einer Auswahl an Rumpsteak Varianten. Das Essen ist wirklich sehr sehr frisch und schmeckt auch besonders gut. Aus der Küche gibt es vorab etwas Bruschetta was noch auf warmen Baguette serviert wurde. Das Restaurant ist eher kleiner und wird sehr nett geführt. Man wird rundum versorgt.Das Restaurant hat nur Freitags bis einschlieÃlich Sonntags von 17-22 Uhr geöffnet.Es gibt kein Fassbier aber das ist vollkommen okay und wirtschaftlich nachvollziehbar.Ich hatte Gambas mit Nudeln. Super lecker und wirklich frisch. Die besten Gambas die ich im Umkreis je gegessen habe. Auch das Rumpsteak war ziemlich gut.Hätten wir noch etwas anderes bzw. extra Wünsche gehabt, hätte der Koch uns auch dies ermöglicht.Manchmal spielt dort jemand im Hintergrund Gitarre - sehrAuf der Facebook Seite findet man die wöchentlich wechselnde Speisekarte. Für jeden ist etwas dabei.

Dinner in a Chateau. Who doesn't want that experience. We had dinner at this hotel/restaurant. We choose the chef menu but decided to have three courses. After the amuse, which was nice, we had the sashimi of tuna. Nice but a little overwhelming with different tastes. After the sashimi we had the trio of beef. A carpaccio, a filet americain and a tartare. Very nice but the sizes were big. After the second course we had the livar (pork) and the cod. The cod was slicly overcooked and the livar dry. Having higher expectations in advance voor the level if the restaurant, we were slightly disappointed. The service was very friendly and always willing to explain the course or the wine.

Very nice restaurant in an old basement in the hart of town. Run by a couple. very friendly service with good advice on local specialities. high quality fresh food, good choice of food and drinks. they really give your visit a warm welcome friendly touch.
