I visited this restaurant for couple of times for lunch menu. It's almost always full and it offers interesting meals and big portions. They taste good and are for reasonable price. This is also a good place for plate of a hot soup, they have tasty ones.

I went to this place because of recommendations that I've read on internet and also in magazine. This place is a typical canteen so you stand in a line and ask a cook whatever meal you want. Taste of my lunc was excellent. Disadvantage is that this place lays too far away from Brno's city center so the canteen is the best option for you if you work near by. Another thing is that the canteen is situated in industrial area and not a regular shopping center or somewhere in city, which is connected to the previous complain.

I have to agree with the other raving reviews: beautiful functionalist architecture and design, nice food (great carrot cake!), pleasant service. Definitely a good place to rest after a visit to the Tugendhat villa.

It was a Sunday noon when we stopped there for a regular meal (during our trip on bicycles) that we were used to in the surrounding restaurants in Jedovnice. But we realized that Surfbar is somehow special - they had excellent homemade iced lemonade and iced tea, excellent steaks, excellent...basically all meals and drinks were excellent!We even appreciated that they gave us ice to our bottles without any kind of issue which is still not standard in Czech Republic even if you spend a few thousands of CZK in some pubs.There was just one minor issue that happened to us when we started to order our meals, we unintentionally started to talk together (me and one of my friends). The waitress was a little bit impolite when she shout at us that we should talk just one at the same time (with the bad attitude). But after that was everything perfect so I am willing to increase their rating to maximum if it is not going to repeat again.

The restaurant in city center, furbished quite simply with respect to spirit of the older building, friendly atmosphere and staff, food & drinks OK as well. We would never say that we will enjoy the veggie burgers so much:-)

The Bistro is nice and relaxed. We had a Ceasar Salad & the Udon noodles both were fresh & tasty. With that we had 2 fresh made lemonades which were tasty as well.The Fans make it cool on a hot day. Prices are moderate. We payed around 20⬠for 2 Persons which is in my opinion a great deal We will come back

Excellent service, very friendly staff. We had the tasting menu with wine pairing. The price was very fair. The restaurant ist situated in a rebuildt historical building from the Bauhaus aera. Reservation was not necessary.

The food was exquisite, service polite and mindful. Everything just clicked into its place here. I usually do not like the staff in fine dining restaurants going around asking you if everything is alright each bloody 5 minutes, but here they give you your space. Sushi is by far the best in Brno.
