No doubt the food is great and authentic there. Many Indian visitors from abroad confirmed it. The place itself is not really sexy, but the service is friendly and efficient.The food is always great and the value for money very interesting. Take away is also possible. The owner has always a nice word for the clients.I recommend with no hesitation. The only Cons is the decoration and ambiance of the restaurant.

My husband and I are here the other night and thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. I got the fish curry with cashews in a nut sauce and he got the chicken in spinach. We ordered a starter of garlic naan and basil rice. Later, the owner came out and told us how happy he was we were eating there and hoped his family cooking made us feel welcome and comfortable and happy. From one foreigner to another there is no place like the "mothers kitchen". It was great.

In Djibouti, where many restaurants are ridiculously overpriced and under-performing, it was a nice surprise to find Le Santal to be the exception to the rule. Having a weird combination of pizza, indian and chinese cuisine there is a wide choice of dishes and the quality and services are quite good, including the wine, and at a reasonable price. Nice oriental decorations. Close to the center and good parking space around the building.
