I went here for the first time with my partner who was visiting me for the weekend and we chose from the lunch menu. The food was presented beautifully and interestingly (Some dishes came on slate) and was absolutely delicious. The restaurant has a very relaxed atmosphere and you can eat fine food yet feel totally at ease. I went back here for a work Christmas dinner and had the set evening menu, which was stunning. There were several courses which were all presented in weird and wonderful ways and it was an experience as well as just eating. For what it is, and the food you get it, the price was very reasonable. I recommend this restaurant wholeheartedly.

I heard much about this restaurant and the food they are offering, I tried their fixed menu which was about 36€ with 5 courses. Well it was a chocked as it's really looks like a tiny quantity of food, I said as it five courses it might be enough. I tried what in the pictures I attached the taste was normal in some and below average in others the pasta sauce was very fishy for me and the lamb was bit strong taste which I don't like at all, the salad was a tiny salad of one shrimp and quinoa which for me is the best taste. Overall I was surprised by how tiny the food and how bad some of the dishes taste which I I think not dishes from a star Michelin chef!

With its wonderful views of waves hitting the adjacent beach, this restaurant begins with a great advantage. To this is added a refined cuisine and a warm welcome from the well-trained staff. Lunch outside on the terrasse is a delight. The place is all about high quality seafood and some splendid sauces. I am always pleased to see restaurants with dishes "for two", because often one member of a partnership has a larger appetite than the other: here, on a quite small lunch menu, both queue de lotte and halibut were on offer in this manner. A prawn starter was generous and full of flavour and, having asked for a glass of white house wine, the bottle was left on the table for us to replenish at will. Desserts included a gigantic souffle.
At some 40 - 50 euros per head, it is not cheap, but the ambience and quality are worth it.

Grill of traditional Basque cuisine. Specialty in grilled fish and meat. Homemade desserts. We always offer seasonal local produce.
We sat at the restaurant’s covered Terrace watching the world go by and enjoying the fixed price menu that evening. We ate scrambled eggs with mushrooms and a mixed salad to start with grilled hake and bonito (similar to tuna and very common in Northern Spain) for mains followed by simple puddings.
Everything was nicely prepared, especially the fish which was excellent, and the service was friendly and efficient. I wasn't anything complicated but was exactly what we wanted and was very enjoyable. A good no frills meal and we would recommend it and visit again if and when we return to Zarautz.

Arguniano and Gure Txokoa are the best restaurants in Zarautz... I have been coming here for 12 years. This year the food is even better at Gure Txokoa... I have tried on purpose the Cigalas Rebozadas in Gure Txokoa, Arguiano, Kiape and Astillero in Geteria.. GURE TXOKAO WINS.. If you are visiting Zarautz and want an incredible meal at a fair price with great service from Elena and Liz...go to Gure Txokoa.....

Came from Dublin for a big birthday lunch and was really impressed with the menu provided for the event. Excellent variety, quality and presentation of food and dining room. Lovely patio area at the rear where the friendly staff served cava and canapes before the main meal.

Restaurant located in the heart of Getaria, next to the port. Specialists in grill, fish, seafood and wine, with own nurseries and winery. Fresh and seasonal products. Since 1962
I read lots of reviews of places to eat in Getaria and they all say that the seafood is excellent particularly the fish. And it is good in all the places we have eaten this trip. Kaia Kaipe is in a different league however, the...MoreGood morning. Thank you very much for sharing your comment. We are glad to read you have had such a good experience with us. It would be nice to see you back to Getaria soon. Best.

Elkano was a very pleasant discovery. We were told to go there for lunch by a friend of mine who has a house in San Sebastián and decided to follow his advice.
The service was incredibly friendly and professional and the food excellent. The wine list, full of treasures, is really worth the trip alone.

This is a large, busy, restaurant in the port of Getaria. It should be in your records.
This restaurant is highly thought of in Getaria and well patronised by locals who clearly know their stuff. However, as visitors, we found it a bit complacent in all respects. We shared a large rib of beef, which was very good meat, but cooked a bit rarer than the medium we'd asked for (allowing for medium having a different meaning in Britain to the rest of of Europe!) but wherever you are, medium doesn't mean "some if it completely raw".

Ate here on a Sunday night. Sat down on the Terrace around 19:45 and were told we would have to wait until 20:00 to eat which was fine as the server brought us a drink straightaway. Large starter portions but be aware there is not much besides bread accompanying the fish main course so order a salad or similar to go with it. Good beer and good local wine. Reasonably priced and very efficient service. Place was full by 20:15 but not sure if that was because it was Sunday or very popular. My wife’s merluza was better than my dorado.
