This little restaurant has, of late, added quite a few more tables. And, with good reason. The food is uniformly excellent. Great selection, soups, salads, sandwiches and entrees and a selection of wines. All made with very fresh and very tasty ingredients.

There is a bit of a wait for the food at rush hours, but you be assured that the wait is worth it..been there several times and will continue.

Anaheim has many restaurants. Some good, some average………but mostly it’s either chains or pretence over food and service.

Baci di Firenze, really does break the mould. It’s in an average strip mall, doesn’t look amazing from the outside and frankly you’d probably walk past it without a second look.

That would be a mistake. It’s located on Lakeview Ave, no shortage of mall parking and easy to find.

What makes it different is the excellent service, great sense of making sure that customer satisfaction is paramount and that you’re not just an inconvenience to their day.

The menu is described as comfort food. I think that may be true if you’re looking for larger than average portions, but it’s the quality of the offerings that sets it apart from the usual suspects. The carpaccio is excellent and the pasta terrific.

The owner picked our wines, usually this has unfortunate results. Not in this case. The red was magnificent, ok the second bottle was corked, but that was quickly replaced with another.

You should make a reservation as they’re busy most evenings and enjoy eating a strip mall at a restaurant with a difference. Great food and lots of personality.

El Farolito

Reviewed By rockyjoe - Minneapolis, Minnesota

El Farolito is a small Mexican Restaurant and is located in the town of Placentia, California. This town is located about 8 miles northeast of Disneyland and about 40 miles east of LAX (Los Angeles International Airport). This place has been around a long time and officially opened in 1974. It has been owned by the same family the entire time.

I dined here on a Monday evening in mid-September with a business associate and enjoyed the experience and thought that the 100% Mexican food was really good. I ordered a giant burrito with beans and rice and really enjoyed everything. The rice did not look right but it was really tasty. The giant burrito was also really good. The portions were huge so I was not able to eat everything. We were given free chips and salsa before ordering and I also liked them (except the salsa was a little hot). This place seems to be popular with locals as there were lots of “To Go” orders being picked-up so we had to wat a few minutes for these customers to finish before we could pay.

Overall enjoyed my dinner and thought the Mexican Food was really good. I will be back on my next trip to this area. In addition, I asked two different local people for a good Mexican restaurant and they both recommended this place.

This is a really popular breakfast spot and for good reason; generous helpings of delicious food along with excellent friendly service. Driving round trip across country from New England to California & back again, we have had many breakfasts on the road. Flappy Jack's is always one of the best! Our eggs are always perfect, and the pancakes fluffy with special artwork for the kids. If you haven't tried Flappy Jack's at least once, highly recommend you give it a try.

Summit House Restaurant

For centuries the English Inn has earned a great reputation for friendly faces, cozy rooms and cheery firesides. As soon as guests come to the Inn, the charming hosts and hostesses run to greet them. In front of a crackling fire one can partake of good hearty fare - the tankard is always full - the spit hung with roasting beefs - and a table heaped with sweets and such. The Inn Keepers of the Summit House are inspired by this custom to create an hospitable place where friends can meet to eat, drink and delight in the views of North Orange County's countryside. To one and all, welcome!

Surprised to learn that this place was founded in 1989, as it felt like restaurants I went to as a kid in the 1960s and 1970s with my parents ... including the my-unadventurous-parents-would-love-this menu and the piano repertoire. It was pretty flashback-y for me. The food was good, but not as great as the prices suggested. My salad that included oranges showed up, unfortunately, with canned mandarin slices; this, in prime orange-growing territory. Yet another restaurant that clearly wishes vegetarians didn't exist; however, they did have one off-menu option. Nice views all around from the location, and pretty grounds. The place was full--and holds a lot of people--so I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't unbearably noisy. We were pleasantly surprised by a free dessert for our anniversary.

We ordered a pastrami sandwich, a pastrami burger and a cheeseburger. The pastrami sandwich was big! Piled high with thinly sliced pastrami on a French roll. Mmm. If you like pastrami, this is definitely the place to go. The pastrami burger is a hamburger topped with pastrami meat and all the burger fixings. It was really good. Their cheeseburger was also very good. On a side note, we didn't order their chili cheese fries, but someone else in the restaurant did. Their order was huge and looked very tempting. But there was no more room in our bellies for this visit. Next time ;)

Craftsman is a locally owned and operated restaurant that opened in December of 2013. Our focus is simple: great food, great value and a great atmosphere provided to you from the friendliest people in Placentia.

We ordered a large takeaway order... five pizzas and two salads... almost $100. Upon arrival we are told that our order was already picked up. Huh!

The manager promptly dealt with the situation and went to the kitchen to expedite recreating our order. As we waited, the people who took our order... which looked nothing like their order... returned to say... " we picked up the wrong order".

The pizzas were fine but we find that letting people walk off with a $100 order does not represent the best business practices.

To begin with, we were seated in a booth directly across from a group of fourteen of the loudest group of people you'll ever encounter in a restaurant. If restaurants want to accommodate such large and boisterous groups, they need to seat them somewhere where they won't annoy their regular patrons. The food was marginal with my carnitas plate being just OK. The meat was not moist and flavorful but was stringy and tough. Given a choice, I would definitely suggest passing on this restaurant.

Lazy Dog Restaurant and Bar

This was our first trip to the Brea location. This restaurant seemed noisier than Irvine. My fried chicken was very good. The fish tacos were also very good. The lemon chicken was excellent.

The disappointment was the Bison meat loaf. The presentation was good. But The meat was mushy and tasted like it had too much breadcrumb filler and ketchup. Frankly we should have returned it and gotten something else.

The pumpkin cheesecake and apple deserts were very good.
