Went with another couple whose wife has allergies to shellfish. I ordered the shrimp and lobster pasta, the 2 gentlemen had the crab-stuffed fish, and the wife had a fish fillet dish. The restaurant went out of their way to ensure the allergy wasn’t a problem. We all enjoyed our food; mine had so much lobster and shrimp!
The service was wonderful as well. We’ll definitely be back soon.

As we had reservations for eight or nine, we were promptly seated and attended to by a really fun waitress. The food portions were extraordinarily large. I would have shared my dish rather than have to discard more than half. Only a few people complete the entrees because we all wanted to try dessert. The molten cake we ordered (learned our lesson on portion size) was delicious but the cake did not ooze when cut.

Tunxis presented good atmosphere and great menu options. Dinner was casual, enjoyable, and relaxed.
We had a small business dinner on a Monday night, so crowds were not a factor.
We ordered 2 appetizers, eggplant fries and sprouts. Both were more than ample portions and both were delicious.
Dinner was wonderful, service was great, and I prices were reasonable.
I would recommend this restaurant.

Hosted a team lunch for 10 and had an excellent experience. We made a reservation so we sat as soon as we arrived. Our server was very attentive and kept the drinks full and made sure the dishes came out timely.
We started with multiple appetizers served family style for sharing. I recommend the chicken scarpariello, melanzane fritter and fried calamari. The chicken was wrapped in bacon with hot peppers and eggplant were like fries.
I had the pan speared scallops which were very tasty. Everyone enjoyed their main dishes with many taking home leftovers due to the large portions.
I recommend carbone’s kitchen especially if you have to accommodate a large crowd.

When arriving you are greeted by the rushing waterfall cascading over an enclosed walkway to the restaurant entrance. This is indeed a converted mill now housing a romantic restaurant and bar with a good selection of food and very attentive service. Highly recommended for that special night out. Reservations can be made online.

It's restaurant is 200 feet from the front door of the Hampton Inn so I decided to walk across the parking lot for dinner last night the recommendation of the two ladies working at the front desk when I checked in. Proximity had a lot to do with my decision, but it turned out to be a great decision. This was the quality of barbecue I would expect to find in Tennessee or the Carolinas or Texas!! I sat in the bar area that had multiple TVs playing along with a live trivia game. The two lady bartenders were spectacular and totally on top of their game. Food was hot, fast and reasonably priced. A solid win if you dig BBQ!!!

Dom's is the place to go for breakfast. The food & service are equally great. Buttermilk pancakes and the many versions of eggs benny are my top favorites. Friendly atmosphere & attentive waitstaff always make for an enjoyable experience.

I went with two of my sisters, two nieces and three VERY hungry children after shopping at the Get Baked local market. It took a very long time to seat us which I totally understand, because there were 8 of us, and it was busy. But it took an hour and a half from the time we were seated until we left. The market was closed by the time we got out of there. The kids mac and cheese seemed to be Kraft out of a box - maybe it wasn't and it fed the kids, but it sure seemed like it.
Food was ok - nothing special, but we were hungry and it was fine. But so so slow.

Miracle I found this place tucked in the corner of a little plaza right on busy Route 5. I actually thought I was going in to a totally different eatery. Authentic Lebanese Cuisine with "Ali" owner who keeps you laughing "if" you can appreciate & get his spicy jokes! After seeing 3 young men with plates of food at their table I ordered one of what I saw...The Gyro Platter. It came with of course the sliced Lamb from the hanging skewer along with some Hummus, a little tossed salad all dressed & Seasoned Rice of course under the meat slices, along with Peta Bread for the Hummus = $14.99 = tax = Total: $15.94. Not inexpensive, but good. And "Ali" had me when he offered a sample of Falafel Balls that he obviously keeps on the Deli Counter for this very smart marketing strategy! If you don't know what they are? They are fried balls resembling a meatball, but vegetarian & generally made of ground Flava Beans & Chick Peas+ w/spices - I didn't ask him if he uses both - different cultures adopt variations. Ali told me that everything is made in-house/homemade & he as well as "Ahmed" & Abdella" operate this business. The Deli Counter is filled with delicious huge pans of a wide variety of foods & it appears that many people get "To-Go" orders. This is a very small place that may appear as a "Pizza" stop at first blush. Inside are a few booths that line the 2 walls in a small "L" shape with the large Deli Counter & Case as you step straight in with the kitchen preparation area in the center so you can see how your food is prepared if you care to stand up & look. As already stated, rather pricey for the plates in my opinion but the menu has many items including a Gyro Sandwich that is $8.99 I believe. Very good food & do be prepared for a question or two or Three that end in spicy jokes! Tell them I sent you, I plan to be back when I am in the area again.
