A beautiful location in this perfect, picturesque city. The service and food quality was so perfect, I absolutely loved everything about it. My starter was the scallops with lobster soup. My main was an extraordinary perch fillet that was superb. 10 out of 10.

When you want a nice meal the first thing to get right is atmosphere. The space around your table is important so you do not feel crammed in, this dinning room fitted the bill. The restaurant is very well appointed with looks the part. The service was very friendly and we were made to feel at home. The food was exceptional with great detail paid to presentation. The Deserts were delicious and made a fitting end to a great meal. They do a fixed price menu which is very good value for what you get. Not to be missed.

Lovely waterside setting, it's a pity it was a blustery February evening. However the interior did not disappoint either, it had great high ceilings, exposed wooden floors and spacious tables. The food was stunning, and the staff were lovely and helpful.

We were there for a wedding a found this cute little restaurant. I had the quarto fromaggi pizza and tiramisu and it was as good as I expected. Had a glass of Montepulciano and a tiramisu as well and sas quite happy. The waitress was very nice and explained the menu to us as it was written in Dutch only. To summarize A nice evening good food and service!

We had a most enjoyable dinner with friends at the Restaurant Naast de Poort. The food was good but not memorable. The tables are nicely spaced throughout the restaurant, so a perfect setting for good conversation. The atmosphere and ambiance are very informal. The table next to us brought a dog. It did not bother us, but it surprised us. Service was slow, matching the overall pace of the place. Therefore, good place for an informal dinner.

The place is really nice, a completely renovated old building, not too many tables. Service is personal and friendly (one person when we were there, maybe the owner). Dinner was quite good, a plate with multiple small tasty bites for appetizer and excellent roasted-pepper soup. In took a very long time for that to arrive (more than an hour), the cooks seem overly relaxed (the kitchen is open). Apparently the idea is to offer a long and tranquil evening but we were hungry. A bit faster would be good. Anyway the rest went faster (white fish and tomato risotto, fish was 'acceptable', risotto excellent). Main coarse was quite good, beef), with plenty of hashbrowns and fries. All in all a very pleasant experience, worth doing it again, to catch up with a long-time-no-see friend

Lunchcafe de Graanschuur is located close to the historic windmill adjacent to the Rhine in the center of Wijk bij Duurstede. Great for a coffee or lunch. Excellent service!

Title says it all. Again: basic typical Dutch lunch pub. Nicely decorated, friendly staff, and good for kids. Menu is basic and nothing special. But if you need a typical Sandwich " broodje" just come inside and enjoy it. Good selection of beers btw.

Wijk bij Duurstede is a typically lunch village for the senior citizens, motor bikers and cyclist. If you do not belong , you really feel out of place. Florian serves good lunches. The owner and staff make you feel welcome. Everything is homemade (excluding fries). We ordered the classic club with lavish chicken, egg and bacon. Great taste. The croquettes with white bread were very good. THe fries are really superb. If you are in Wijk bij Duurstede .. have lunch here!

Elk jaar gaan we met vrienden ergens ergens eten in de buurt waar iemand woont. Zo ook dit jaar in “Wijk”.
De Kleine is een een gezellig, huiskamer restaurant met een Tapasmenu.
De bediening is erg vriendelijk, legt vooraf duidelijk het concept uit en alhoewel het behoorlijk druk was, was de doorlooptijd van de gerechten best wel in orde.
Voor €22,50 kun je goed eten en is er een leuke keuze op de kaart.
Twee kleine opmerkingen, van zaken die nog wat finetuning nodig hebben:
- de tafeltjes staan een beetje te dicht op elkaar. Dus als je naast een luidruchtige groep zit, is een gesprek moeilijk te voeren.
- soms worden gerechten per tafel iets te lang na elkaar geserveerd, zodat iemand nog niets heeft en de ander al zit te eten.
Verder is er niets mis met het restaurant.
Tip: de Ravioli met truffel, heel lekker.
