My wife and I walked over from Lazy Daze campground which is next door to the Burger Master. I ordered a cheeseburger, sweet potato fries, and a soda. We also splurged with a chocolate milk shake and small cone. They were kind enough to hold the ice cream goodies until we'd finish our meal. The food was great and service speedy. My wife said, "This is a small?" because her ice cream cone was larger than some places largest size. Prices are a bit on the high side for a roadside hamburger stand but well worth it.

I've never been impressed in general with cupcakes but Bakin' Bishop has changed my mind. The cupcakes here are awesome! Soft, flavorful and baked to perfection with several flavors of cake and 6 or more homemade icing options. They ice the cupcakes when ordered so any cake flavor can be combined with any icing. We wanted to try everything but there were just too many options. We ended up with a dozen of the mini cupcakes in various cake flavors and icing flavors. Every one was excellent. Can't wait to be back and find an excuse to order a cake to try. Prices seemed reasonable and the place was clean. The owner was very pleasant and patient. We've driven by here many times and never noticed the place. It's right across the street from the Smoky Mountain Alpine Coaster on Wears Valley Drive.

My son and I went here. This place is packed and it has an okay menu. I ordered a grilled chicken Caesar salad with cheese grits (they weren’t hot when I got them) and my son had mac and cheese and fries. It took forever for our food. The waiter never apologized. A family of five that sat at the same time as us all received their meals as well as two other tables. Since the grits weren’t hot I think he just forgot about our food or something was mistimed with cooking the grilled chicken. No table touch to check if we were okay except to give us our bill. Really?

At Trailhead we focus more on the quality and perfection of our food and service than anything else. Our prices are the same or cheaper than all of our local competitors. Only difference is we try to offer more of a fine dining restaurant experience such as decorating our plates and the table cloths and candle light adds a very lovely touch. For the same price we pamper you with our generous hospitality. Come give us a shot, your Trailhead Steak & Trout House. Steven Haley (General Manager) has had excessive feedback from folks wondering why there was not a TRAILHEAD STEAKHOUSE in other areas, so keep an eye out for a TRAILHEAD STEAKHOUSE coming to a town near YOU!

The locals recommended this restaurant. My wife ordered a hamburger with sweet potato fries and was completely satisfied. I had the country fried steak with mashed potatoes, corn, and Green beans. Sadly I never got to taste the mashed potatoes or the corn-they ran out! They also ran out of the soup of the day! The fried steak was delicious-I just wish they didn’t run out of the sides!

Ice Cream, Snacks, Cold Drinks, Gem Mine, Light Show, a Relaxing Garden & a Waterfall! This is a great find in the Smoky Mountains. Only 4.5 Miles from Pigeon Forge on Wears Valley Rd but your a world away. Step inside our store and enjoy and enjoy a cold drink or snack on the covered/heated deck overlooking our waterfall or in our garden. The kids we'll LOVE our creekside Gem Mine. You can even get married, hold a family reunion or book a private dinner at our Waterfall! Hours change seasonally and we are closed for the months of January and February.

If you are in the area this place is a must to visit-doesn't look like much from the road but trust me it's an awesome place! The woman who owns/runs it is so genuinely kind and compassionate that she makes your stop special:)
We purchased a few buckets of gems that we later mined and let me tell you this is something that kids of all ages LOVE to do and the gems in the taller white pails-AMAZING
Don't miss taking a walk through the yard to the falls....pretty cool

I was disappointed in my experience here. I was looking forward to it. The food was average, the service rushed. You can tell that they thrive on the high turn over of the tables. You'll spend about $80 on breakfast for a family of 4/5. Pass on the cinnamon bun they claim to be famous for. I've had better at the Holiday Inn Express. :(
Like I said..I was looking forward to this meal here... I hate to have to say to pass on it....but between Flapjacks and here...... I'd do Flapjacks. (Or Cracker Barrel)

Who would think that in a small Town like Townsend you would get a stylish and great coffee shop! Very nice owner with info about the coffee and nice ambience with seating and some nice pastries too.

Our restaurant is laid back and casual with a friendly staff. We do our best to provide you with a good meal and a feeing of family. We serve breakfast all day, lunch from 11-2,and have a breakfast buffet on Saturday and Sunday. Please come check us out and sign our truck. Yes I said truck it's a 1953 Chevy in the middle of the dining room. We are open April through December.

The best doughnuts in town. You can actually see the donuts making process from behind the glass. The final result is just delicious. If we are on our way to a difficult hike , Krispy Kreme is our breakfast get ready gung-ho spot .

That's what we told the owner. All the years we've been coming to this area and never tried this place. Well, from now on it is a definite stop on trips to this area. By far the BEST funnel cake I have ever had. The first night I got it with powdered sugar only and ate the whole thing. The next night I shared one with my niece that had powdered sugar, his own fresh strawberry topping, drizzled with chocolate syrup, topped with whip cream. YUMMY! He makes his own funnel cake batter. He also has a chocolate fudge cake that I can't wait to try, but he was out of that. Serves ice cream with homemade large waffle cones (or plain if you wish). Does a couple sandwiches also. If you like funnel cakes even a little bit, you've got to try this place. Life changing indeed!
