Good food with a very helpful staff. The Dumplings are so light and airy the melt in you mouth. The chutneys and sauces are fresh accompaniments. The rice dishes are wonderful and if you can't decide what you want with you dinner they'll let you split your order. The chicken and lamb chop dinners are good choices. Dinners come with a small salad and soup. Usually there are leftovers for lunch. The piping hot fresh bread is amazing!

This is an old fashioned family owned Italian restaurant and pizzeria. We shared a meal among the five of us that included the margherita pizza, penne vodka with chicken, eggplant rollatini, chicken rollatini, and eggplant parmigiana. Everything was excellent and the server, Sandy, was very friendly and attentive. It is also a BYOB. The prices are very reasonable, but they only take cash. I think we have just found our new favorite Italian restaurant. We will definitely be back!

Three dining options: First, The original StageHouse Restaurant, offering fine dining in an elegant county inn setting. Built in 1737 this historic inn boasts many small dining rooms with a fireplace in each room. The Stage House Restaurant offers an ala carte menu every day. Next, The Tavern at the Stage House, which serves up Rustic American fare in a more casual setting. Newly renovated with a new 35 seat bar, a cool little club house and the best Burger in Town. Lastly, The Patio at the stage house, which is a huge outdoor bar and dining room offering either menu. Reservations are only accepted for the fine dining restaurant, the others are first come first serve.
This is a great place for drinks and food and live entertainment. Live classic rock bands on Friday night and typically club music on Saturday nights. Hey have a separate sit down eating area inside and during the summer outside tables with full service.
I gave it 4 stars because it is pretty pricey. But they are always changing the menu up and service is typically good.
Also, last time we were there 5 different fights broke out. It seems like they are attracting a younger crowd because it's a great place to hang and no places around it like it.

While visiting my daughter and son-in-law in NJ we went over to the Dunellen Hotel on a snowy evening. We have been there several times and always been pleased. One of the specials that night was a stuffed pork chop that was the biggest thing I've ever seen. Three in our party opted for this and thought it was delicious. Only one was able to actually finish it. I was looking for comfort food and found it in a huge chicken parm dish. It was excellent. A great evening of good food and good conversation!

after several visits here, it is only absent-mindedness that I have not yet given this restaurant the excellent rating and review it deserves.
with a standard new jersey Italian menu and a few specials of the day, what makes ancona excellent is the consistently fresh and spot-on preparation of each dish. we can vouch for the osso bucco, the veal ancona, the veal francaise, the pork chops, .. having forgotten the dishes praised by our friends had. the salads and soups are always fresh and well presented. the chocolate soufflé and an espresso are a perfect end. the service is always just right, accommodating all requests and attending to details without hovering over you.

Had dinner here tonight with family including two small children. Our server, Katherine, was great with the kids, service was fast and friendly and we enjoyed the atmosphere. Our table had a variety of beer and drinks and all were wonderful. We had two different pizzas and both were great but the true winner of the night was the cheese curd appetizer; true Wisconsin style.

We had time only for beer... but the restaurant and its service were very enjoyable and courteous...

Top-rated burgers? Not according to the two in our party of four who ordered the ale house version - decidedly average. Fries no great shakes either. My German potato bacon soup was devoid of both and quite bland. Steak and soft shell crabs were okay but can't really screw those up. But when the salad is the best dish, it doesn't say much for the chef. Saving graces are service and a great beer selection.

This restaurant doesn’t think so. The chicken stir fry would have been good had it been hot. Unfortunately it wasn’t. My wife’s chicken pot pie was good.
