We arrived Friday evening around 10pm without reservation and surprisingly got a table. We liked the rustic decoration which gave a warm and cozy atmosphere. There are traditional Swabian dishes and some international dishes on the menu. The food was very good and the staff were friendly and efficient.

Das Restaurant Remsstuben ist für alle Gelgenheiten ausgerichtet.
Mittagessen, Abendessen, Geschäftsessen, Familienfeieren, Tagungen, Veranstaltungen oder einfach auf eine Tasse Kaffee auf der Terasse.
Speisen sind sehr gut. Service sehr freundlich und aufmerksam.

Modern, but classic. Fashionable, but comfortable. These words describe the exceptional Fine Dining experience at the Goldberg Restaurant.

Goldberg impressed me as a magnificent culinary experience. The setting is sophisticated and pleasant in this gourmet restaurant attached to a major conference center in Fellbach, a suburb of Stuttgart. It is a natural destination for those attending events in the nearby Schwabenlandhalle, and a Mercedes station wagon is available to shuttle guests from downtown hotels. The cuisine is interesting, creative, and sophisticated. The wine list is not extensive, but intriguing and at times amusing -- Wurttemburg wines are described as "Local Heros." I went there on two occasions as a solo diner and every dish I ordered was superlative. On my second meal a tuna tartare amuse bouche was superb, and I ordered what is best described as a bag of prawns in batter with three dips, followed by a scallop and pork belly dish which was delicious beyond description. Why very good instead of excellent while I am raving about the food? The staff was robot-like and did not engage, despite their speaking excellent English. During my first visit I discounted this because I was jet-lagged and unsure of my objectivity. On my second visit I was alert and wide-awake, and it was exactly the same. I would go there again with companions, but I would not return solo. Great food I like, but the chill was palpable and frankly unpleasant. If I had walked in in a scruffy or overly casual manner, I could have rationalized this treatment, but I on each occasion I walked in well dressed, jacket and tie and all, after a day of professional activity.

Sehr schöne Lage, wir waren am Sonntag bei gutem Wetter hier. Wir, eine Wandergruppe von 7 Gästen. Wir fanden es gemütlich aber...ein Großteil der Tische versifft und klebrig. Wir haben uns zunächst einen nassen Lappen an der Kasse geholt, das gebrauchte Geschirr zur Seite geschoben und den Tisch notdürftig gereinigt. Die Preise, aus unserer Sicht sehr gehoben auch im Hinblick, dass Selfservice geboten wird - wir sind nicht in der Stuttgarter oder Münchner City. Wenn dann die Qualität stimmt, würden wir darüber hinweg sehen. Aber nein. Das Essen eine einzige Katastrophe. Flammkuchen, geschmacklich und von der Konsistenz grenzwertig schlecht. Darüber hinaus 2 x ca. 1/3 schwarz, verbrannt. Obatzter eher ein Klumpen Kräuterbutter ohne wirklich guten Geschmack. Das Brot dazu nicht gut. Wir hatten früher bessere Erlebnisse in diesem Biergarten. Wohlgemerkt ein befriedigend wg. dem Ambiente. Ansonsten glattes ungenügend für die Speisen, die wir geordert hatten. Schade, dass wir den Eindruck von unfähiger Geschäftsleitung bekommen haben. Wir haben übrigens alles stehen gelassen und sind anschließend in Waiblingen zum Essen gegangen. Never ever. Sorry, aber wir kommen hier nicht wieder her.

We got some takeaway food from this place. Staff is extremely friendly and the food was awesome! Fresh, tasty, nicely seasoned viatnamese and thai-inspired dishes. Crispy spring rolls, mang salad, crunchy duck, chicken with rice noodle salad. Reasonably priced. Very nice, modern restaurant.

Man sollte nie Vergleiche zu vorher und nachher anstellen. Fakt ist, die Gastgeber sind sehr Nett und die Küche schickt ein solides gutes Essen an den Tisch. Gute Weine auch außerhalb der Karte. Leicht versteckt mit schöner Terrasse im Grünen.
Jederzeit gerne wieder.

Three of us enjoyed superb, mainly local food. The service was very good and the staff made some excellent and informed recommendations regarding wine and food. From the outside the restaurant looks a little less welcoming than it might, but once inside the surroundings are clean, more modern than many German restaurants, light and airy with plenty of room between the tables to make the experience more personal and intimate if required.
