We were seated immediately for dinner Saturday evening around 6PM! Quickly served. friendly staff! The wonderful food came out fast! The setting is open, casual, and cheery! Big portions!
Hot crab dip with homemade chips and bread for appetizer. Country fried steal with whipped potatoes and gravy and Lima beans. I wish we had saved room for desert!

Grounded is run by the same folks that run Something Different which explains why the food is so good and the servers are efficient, friendly and go the extra mile to please. The menu is limited and changes but even with not too many choices there will certainly be something for everyone.

We love this place. We've been coming here for twenty years. The food is great. It's a family Italian restaurant with wonderful service, lots of locals. You get a real flavor of Urbanna, the food and the folks. Great!

If you want to eat on the water, or to be more precise, over the water & casual is ok, this is the place. Most of the seating is at picnic tables or outdoor tables & chairs. Some seating is in screened porch like areas. Any way, you'll be seated essentially over the water. The place is extremely casual, with lots of customers arriving by boat. Except for the baskets the meal is delivered in, everything is disposable. The oysters, coleslaw & potato salad were outstanding. The crabcake was good although it wasn't without some filler. The servers are hardworking & knowledgeable.

We rode the Harley out to Urbanna wanting some soft shell crab. The sign on the front door stated they had exactly that and were fresh. We both ordered the lunch platter which included two crabs, hush puppies, fries and cole slaw. The food was good, but service was a bit slow. They had a decent crowd, but not overly crowded. Took awhile to get water refreshed, and I had to grab my own utensils.

My experience was excellent. The Pollo Fundido was top notch. The restaurant is doing very well for being in Urbanna. Urbanna is very hard for restaurants to do well, as many have been forced to close. Urbanna is an Oyster town. The food came relatively quickly, the food was great, and even a picky eater loves it. The service was great and one of the best things about it was their Salsa and chips. The salsa was perfect, not too spicy, not too bland. Highly recommend.

Last year we stopped at this Chinese place and we were pleasantly surprised. The food was great. (Of course you never look how clean Chinese restaurants are or you would never go in any.) so this year we were heading around that area again and stopped. UGH!!! What happened?? The food was not good. Tasted nothing like last year. Did they get a new cook? And wow. The air conditioner didn't even work. It was so hot in there you could barely eat your lunch. I guess that was a good thing to get us out quick. Not going back there. Too bad because last year it was great. Don't waste your time!

Great breakfast location for omelets and anything with eggs. Breakfast meats are yummy and so are the baked goods. Good coffee. Have been there for lunch for a quick sandwich - all delicious. We hope to keep enjoying this little gem close to Urbanna, VA.
