We enjoyed an excellent meal at Il Melograno di Agostini on New Year’s Eve. Up to their usual high standards of friendly hospitality and delicious food. From the tasty fish antipasto plate, a couple of pasta dishes, followed by succulent fish and crispy calamari and gamberi, through to the absolutely delicious pear and chocolate tart, we could not fault a thing. Would highly recommend this top quality restaurant with elegant décor and unfailing friendly service.

Very cosy location in Trevignano Romano. A well-restored old cellar or depot or something. The athmosphere is relaxing, and the good service as well. The food is very tasty and full of spices and dressing (not for delicate stomachs). I had excellent ravioli with cheese and truffel. Paramount the dessert "crostata with ricotta and berries".Good wines. Fair and honest prices.

I don't know whether it was the perfect climate, or the easy parking, or the beautiful lake.
Maybe it was the good company, or the kind waiter, the quick service even if the restaurant was completely full.
I believe that the last one was the nicest surprise, as I was expecting a long wait.
For sure the good food helped a lot, fried vegetables of the season, octopus salad, agretti salad, a plate of ham.
And then the spaghetti with tomato and seabass, the tonnarelli with white meat sauce but no tomato, the nice strawberries with whipped cream.
A nice white wine Fiano di Avellino gave all of us an extra smile.
It was not a sophisticated restaurant, but it surely was a perfect day.
Luckily I booked a table!

Lovely setting right on the lake and no doubt a great place to eat during the summer when it is warmer. But like most Italian restaurants there is not much heat inside during the winter.
A busy restaurant and popular with Italians. Although we had not booked the helpful staff managed to find us a table. While there are no dishes listed as being gluten free, the waiter made sure that my fish was just plain grilled. It was delicious. A relatively inexpensive lunch for two, including 2 glasses of house wine and one desert euro 50.
Will definitely make a return visit when it is warmer!

Back in Trevignano for our spring break, Bistro remains good value on the set lunch menu. It does bung up the price when you add in the cover/wine/water, but no complaints about the food which is very good.

We ate dinner by the lake in this charming location. The restaurant has been featured in some books and magazines and has a gambero rating. The food was very good and we'd recommend it. I believe the menu varies, and eating by the water can't be beat. For vegetarians, there was only one dish--though very good (tonarelli w/ chicory, pecorino and peperoncino), it was not spicy. We had a bottle of white wine, a Verdichio, for 9E, which was very nice and a good price for the location. My husband and I both ordered the sea bass with myrtle, which is a favored Sardinian herb. One was brought during the first course and the other during the second course, which was a little strange, but they were both very good, though unclear on the menu that it came with so many vegetables, and the second one with many more potatoes than the first. We could not taste the myrtle. An absolutely unacceptable dessert was served, the chocolate fondente cake, shown in the tripadvisor pictures much differently, which was described by my daughter as worse than a chocolate muffin at her high school (it was hard as a rock). Getting an amazing artisanal gelato around the corner made up for it however. Overall, we'd return because we liked the location, the food, and felt it had other things we'd like to taste. Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves.

Excellent pizza, proper Italian pizza where the flavours of the tomatoes and basil and onions and olives sing through on the most delicious thin pizza base. Can take a little while to get the pizza if at restaurant before 9pm

I am writing this review as despite trying to eat here on several occasions and despite there being lots of people already eating and looking at menus this restaurant was arrogant enough to think they could open when it pleased them so do go but don't expect they will open even if staff are there

The Orso Goloso finds a new bigger den and with more space to the creativity of the chef Sandro will only benefit to the delight of all tastes. The new location is divided into three environments: The Central space is composed of two rooms of which one private from about 25 covers and an adjacent with a cover 18 covered. Adjacent to the entrance is a fireplace can not only heat the room, but also to enable the preparation of grilled delicacies, the first floor is a dining 30 seats with a great balcony for smokers. A comfortable garden with a capacity of 50 seats is ideal for private parties or celebrations that do not burrow privileged "Bears Gourmet" researchers of flavors and new tastes. We look forward from Tuesday evening to Sunday evening, remembering that we are also open for lunch from Wednesday to Sunday .. To report that we have now added the pizza from the wood stove and carry out the service of pizza, fish and chip/mushrooms and homemade fried takeaway. The Orso Goloso has recently relocated from one end of the village of Trevignano Romano to the other, to more spacious premises which used to be occupied by The Charleston Pizzeria. There's a cosy interior with an open fire in winter and a lovely outside patio area behind the restaurant lit by candlelight in the evenings. The talented owner and chef Sandro provides an imaginative and well priced menu in both taste and presentation, living up to his well deserved reputation. We shared a starter of delicious zucchini flowers in batter and some crunchy whitebait with a delicate ginger flavoured dipping sauce. All served piping hot and not the least bit oily or heavy. We had the house wine which was very acceptable and modestly priced but they also have an excellent wine list from good Italian cantinas. Our main courses were truly impressive. An enormous fish soup with everything in it from huge prawns to small red mullets in a perfectly matured fish stock, certainly the equal of any we've had in a good French restaurant. A perfectly baked sea bass was stuffed with diced vegetables, wrapped and served like a giant caramel! The desserts were of the same high quality and presentation. We were waited on by Mons, an ebullient efficient waiter who just bursts with enthusiasm and speaks perfect English. A definite asset for this excellent restaurant. We shall return very soon!
