There are many bars on the beach at Tonsupa. I selected this one based on its write up on TripAdvisor. The owner, Dilmas from Venezuela, is welcoming and friendly. It helps if you can speak Spanish because Dilmas knows very little English.
The prices are very reasonable. The Caipirinhas are very good and refreshing. They're a bit on the strong side, so be careful. If you have a piña colada, you almost have a tropical fruit salad decorating the glass. It's very impressive.

The BFR is a unique place where you can taste the best Ecuadorian gastronomy, especially seafood. It is located, two kilometers from the beach. In the restaurant you can taste our specialties accompanied by an excellent panoramic view of the sea and the breeze in the evening and at night the stars and moon offer a show like no other.

It has a capacity for 200 people where coastal food specialties, pastas, pizzas, executive menu and specialties of our Chef is offered; is open to hotel guests and the general public. The restaurant is complemented by the Clover Cafe which has a capacity for 100 people and the same services that are offered in the restaurant; the unique atmosphere around the pool is suitable for swimmers.

We did a chef's tasting, which I would recommend. Make sure you have time. I think our lunch took 2 hours. The food was unique and incredible.

My wife and I ended up in this place by chance. We walked from Tonsupa bordering the beach and arrived In Atacames. We were hungry and this was the very first place that caught our attention. Here's my review about it

- Fugazzeta! Very weird to find in Ecuador. A Truly authentic pizza from Argentina
- Attention. Everyone was nice and polite
- Homemade Alfajores

- The place needs some fixes
- During holidays there are tons of people trying to get inside with no enough space for all
