A highly rewarding culinary experience in a very nice place in a beautiful and quiet neighbourhood in Toluca. Well presented dishes, and a great collections of rara tequilas and mescals. Not to be missed if in Toluca, but need to book well in advance. They cultivate their own herbs and spices on the roof of the restaurant.

Mexican cuisine is one of the most important and most extensive in the world.
This restaurant is a seafood restaurant with modern Mexican cuisine that serves mainly their creations that have evolved for many years.
The shrimp and lobster tacos are very good. All shellfish cocktails are also a safe bet.
Basically the whole menu not only good but unique to this restaurant.
The secrets (as is with all seafood) is to choose local fish caught in the wild. Red Snapper, Mahi Mahi are good examples as to what to choose and Sole fish and Maine lobster are NOT a good choice because they are pre frozen.
Go with local catch and you can't go wrong.

This restaurant is right next to the hotel i am staying, was an easy choice for dinner. the food is good, atmosphere is good, cost is not that bad but slight bit on the higher side. overall a good experience.Thank you for your comment. This is my favorite restaurant in Toluca. It has a casual atmosphere, an amazing and delicious variety of dishes and very decent wine selection.
I have visited this place for business, couples and even for my birthday. This place always delivers great food and a great time.
Although I must say, pricey. Still, it is worth a visit!

This place was one of the most famous for "tortas" but the quality and size of the portions have decreased over the last years.
Place usually crowded on sundays.
Tortas are still good but there are plenty of places equal or better which are know only to locals mostly such as La Española (very gourmet), La Hortaliza or La Selva.
I if you come here, I would recommend the "pierna" my fav!

Right next to our awful hotel in Toluca was this incredible hole-in-the-wall, filled-with-locals asadera restaurant. For 7 1/2 bucks you get this huge plate of arrachera, grilled beef chopped into little squares with tortillas and salsa. Sort of make-your-own soft tacos. The flavor was incredible and juicy and the chica plate (small) was big enough for 3 people. I couldn't eat it all. They have beer but no hard liquor. The food is cooked in the same room as the dining area. Very informal. Worth returning to Toluca for.

I finally made it to Nolita after Reading the reviews here and having several friends recommend it. I would say that Nolita has the best pizza I have ever found in Mexico after 20 years of searching. Nolita gets the balance between cheese/sauce/crust just right, and the sauce tastes great. I tried the Popular, pepperoni and shrooms, and loved it. The pepperoni is high quality and well cooked to give it a strong full flavor, and the mushrooms are fresh. Service was quick and attentive despite the full dining room. I will be back!

I like everything here. Owners are kind and attentive, the place is beautiful: an art gallery / museum / restaurant bar. An old building, art on the walls, excellent food, fine wine and authentic local beverages (as mescal) will delight your senses. Come and see a real “troje” (kind of a granary), they kept it.

Restaurants that hint to specialize in a certain cuisine HAVE to stick to their pitch to have any chance. This restaurant advertises itself as a Swiss fondue restaurant but it's everything but Swiss. Yes you can order a VERY mediocre cheese or meat fondue but they also serve steaks, hot dogs and even Mexican dishes.
An undefined restaurant is almost always a bad bet and this one is no exception. It is very medicore in cuisine, service and wine selection.
Skip it!

Sonora Grill Prime is probably the best Meet-Restaurant in Toluca/Metepec. We were 12 people so we ordered bunch of different options and all of them were fantastic. Highly recommended if budget allows!.
