Tokoroa (Māori: Te Kaokaoroa o Patetere) is the fifth-largest town in the Waikato region of the North Island of New Zealand and largest settlement in the South Waikato District. Located 30 km southwest of Rotorua, close to the foot of the Mamaku Ranges, it is midway between Taupo and Hamilton on State Highway One. Its 2006 census population was 13,600, a significant decline from the 2001 figure of 14,950. Other notable South Waikato towns and settlements are Putaruru, Tirau and Arapuni.

This place oozes Italian right from the herb plants and olive trees outside to the
Italian murals inside. The all italian menu invites you order exquiste tasting Italian food matched by their Italian wine and beer list. Great service as well gives way to a special night out.

Where Sweet Rose scores is the quality of ingredients and the taste of their sauces. Its always a pleasant surprise to receive a little more than you were expecting, and that was what their friendly team delivered. Coffee could have been warmer but tasty enough - and the fresh puha (watercress) on the salad was a touch I really enjoyed. Finally, a place that doesn't serve red onion with its salad! There seems to be a tendency not to crisp up the pork crackling these days - but the quality of meat and preparation meant that didn't matter.
A good reason to spend more time in a town that's largely ignored.

Stopped here when travelling as we figured a 'Robert Harris' should have good coffee as my husband loves a 'good coffee' and is disappointed in so many places.
We just had coffee on the way to Wellington, which he pronounced was the best he had had for a while when travelling.
In fact he liked their coffee so much we stopped on the way back from our travels also to have breakfast.
The food was also very good - cabinet food or you can order from a blackboard.
My husband had a toasted Sandwich and asked for extra ham, which they obliged and it also came with chips.
I had bacon and eggs and it was beautifully cooked.
The service was reasonably fast and the staff very friendly and helpful..
This will be our stopping place from now on, when we travel through the area.
Also noticed a lot of 'truckies' stopping to get coffee on way through Tokoroa.

Want takeaways but sick of the usual greasy fast food options well if you're in Tokoroa or travelling through call in and try the Turkish shop. The food is anot awesome refreshing change when you want fast food. Fantastic service too. Definitely will return.

Lovely food at great price, plenty of choice on the menu. Wednesday roast yummy with $1 desert, worth every penny. Friendly staff with nice welcome and relaxed comfortable atmosphere. Popped in here for a while quick lunch with my daughter and son-in-law. They plumped for the wedges and the homemade soup and I had a slice of carrot cake and a pot of earl grey tea. All delicious and served with a smile. Popped back later in the week for another quick bite which was equally as good.
