Thalassery (IPA: [θʌlʌsserɪ]) formerly Tellicherry is a commercial town on the Malabar Coast in Kannur district, in the state of Kerala, India, bordered by the districts of Mahé (Pondicherry), Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kasaragod and Kodagu (Karnataka). It is the largest populated municipality of North Malabar. Thalassery has been a historically significant location over the past five centuries in the Malabar region. Thalassery municipality has a population just under 100,000. Thalassery has an area of 23.98 square kilometres (9.26 sq mi). It is 22 km south of the district headquarters in Kannur town. Thalassery is situated in an altitude ranging from 2.5m to 30m above mean sea-level.

Paris Restaurant has its own legacy. Their specialty dish is the biriyani, it is very different from the normal biryani. It is cooked with an aromatic rice which tastes more like a ghee rice with the masala/gravy being separate. It has its own taste and cannot be compared to other biriyanis. What I like about the place is its earthy rustic feel and the smell of the biriyani even after washing my hands.. Along with the biriyani don't forget to ask for the kattan chai (black tea).

i used to visit there often in mornings two items is my favourites .fish curry and veg stew along with special park view porotta is mouth watering. as well as aappam instantly cooking in the evenings a real yummy.rest of the all items standing above average

as a native of tellicherry i had lot of opportunity to have most of the vareities in this parlour.most of the items is good in quality.but the ice creams which they using is not up to the mark.most of the dessert ice creams used in their items.need some care in this regard.they have to go with original milky ice creams.

After last trip to this place on the way back from Virajpet, i was tempted to go here again.
Ordered Prawn biriyani and Fish biriyani. Extremely delicious and not too heavy like most biriyanis are in almost all the restaurants. Delicately balanced taste and masala and the rice with minimum amount of grease.. so minimum that you can still feel that your fingers and palm are not oily after eating the biriyani.
Thank you to the chef, staff and management. I was able to finish both te biriyanis alone.
