I had been to this restaurant several years ago and had incredibly fond memories of the food. I believe a change in ownership must have taken place as the meal I had there recently was not at all distinguished. Their cooked vegetable plate as an antipasto offered very little merit, all were overcooked and hadn't been drained properly so we're sitting in a puddle of water. I had anticipated flavor but there was none to be found. My main dish was bacala, normally one of my favorites and it too was very bland and without character. They used to make their own wine which was distinguished but that seems to have been done away with as well. Their outdoor space is absolutely stunning and a wonderful place that offered much promise, unfortunately the food came nowhere near the ambience. I was disappointed - to say the least.

A superb, kindly casual well-rounded restaurant.
There were 8 of us with varying needs and a tired 2 yr old. We were welcomed with typical Italian generosity and served at a leisurely pace that totally suited the place, the time of day and our needs.
The antipasto we shared were delightful as were the varied main courses we chose. I had pasta with clams and a delicious garlic with pistachio butter. Totally moreish!
I cannot recommend this place highly enough. It is a MUST-VISIT when you are here.

You must go out of your way to find this restaurant because the food is made with love! The owners are by far the nicest most concerned people I ever met! The staff wants you to be happy eating whatever they serve! And what they serve is amazing from hone made specialties to home made limoncello!!!! If traveling in the are it's a must! I was brought there by some locals and was very happy to be there and only wish I could go back!

Everything was perfect, located inside a court with orange trees Food is fresh , you can find fish and from Terra , I ask to be advised about wine and they gave us the best for us super service by nice people I highly recommend

We were there during June and we have tasted many of their dishes.
Pizza and pasta are just excellents
Meat and fishes are very fresh and well cooked
And they do 4 different menu which are just ideal to taste many of their dishes and the ratio quality-price is exceptionnal
Honnestly, if you are around Racale, go there!!

We met some friends in this village not far from Gallipoli: what a fantastic place! We had dinner in the garden and the service was fast and very efficient . Ci siamo andati seguendo le recensioni TripAdvisor, in una serata in famiglia, due adulti e due ragazzini. Il cameriere ci ha subito detto di non avere un menu, e ci ha consigliato di prendere 3 antipasti; per carità, abbondanti, ma non altrettanto curati: “pittole” crude all’interno e troppo salate (come il conto!), focacce non ben riscaldate, verdure troppo acidulate...risultato: una buona parte degli antipasti sono stati portati via, nonostante i miei figlioli, di solito, li fanno sparire in un secondo. S
orpresa sul conto: venivano 14 euro l’uno...per un localino semplice ed alla buona, il costo mi è sembrato esagerato, rispetto alla qualità offerta.

Something to say about all restaurants in Puglia... they are a bit slow on the service so you have to resign to wait a bit to eat... that sayd, this restaurant was really good and proposes a fixed menu for two at 39 euros that offers several regioanl entrè, first and second dishes. also the dessert was really good. If you are nearby it is definetly a place to try.

We have stayed in Gallipoli for 10 days, and this is the best place we have eaten in.
Mostly local people, good atmosphere, staff speak English and very helpful.
But the main reason we went back is the food. Pizza is awesome, starters,desert. Yummy . Pasta is the best around. Also reasonably priced. Highly recommend.
