We were on holiday nearby and had lunch twice and diner once at this restaurant. Service was very friendly. We dropped by when the restaurant was officially closed according to the sign, but the chef fired up the kitchen anyway. The waitresses who served during diner were all very friendly and accommodating. It was a busy evening, but the service was timely and the chef still made time to have a chat with the guests.
The food was good. I especially liked their stjerneskud. The location at the harbour is quite nice.

I was in this place with my collegue for a dinner. The food quite OK and prices were also reasonable (on Danish level). There was nothing special in the place, but we had a good dinner after a long day. I took the lamb and it was good.

Restaurant Stuen th offers great food in cosy surroundings. Our food is cooked from scratch with lots of love. We prioritize local produce and specialities. We are open both at lunch and in the evenings every day of the week, and we have a wide selection of special brews, glass bottled wines, and cocktails. Our restaurant is part of Hotel Skjern, which is situated in central Skjern, facing the town plaza. This hotel was fully renovated in 2015 and features, apart from Stuen th, 21 modern rooms. Hotel Skjern has excellent facilities for parties, business meetings, and conferences. The newly renovated rooms can accommodate between 5 and 120 people, and the hotel offers both traditional and experimental menus for any occasion.

The restaurant is located on the ground floor of Hotel Skjern, and with our stay in the hotel was included a three-course gourmet dinner in the restaurant. The interior of the restaurant is modern and inviting. Although the tables are close to one another, there was still a feeling of privacy and cosiness. The first course was a chicken confitte served with Jerusalem artichokes prepared in two different ways, the second course was pork slowly cooked and served with seasonal vegetables, and for dessert, ice cream encrusted in a dark chocolate ball. The dishes were perfectly cooked and served beautifully. With the perfect service and ambience of the place, it was truly a great experience dining in this restaurant.

We popped in for a quick dinner and did not realize how popular this place was! Every single table was reserved but they were willing to accommodate us, we just had to be finished by a certain time which was an hour and a half and easily accomplished. Calling ahead or making a reservation is recommended and they have carry out as an option as well.
All of the food is made from scratch: bread, buns, ketchup, mayo...you name it. Everything was delicious and the service superb!
