We just came here to have a snack and enjoy the view.
The staff is very friendly and attentive.
We had different sorts of food; cake, pudding, tofu but no main course.
Together with coffee, juice and fresh coconut. Everthing nicely decorated and very tasty.
So just sit down, relax and enjoy.
You'll never have a greater view....

We stopped at this restaurant during an Ubud tour with Mano Bali Tour Guides.
We really didn't know what to expect from the Tegalalang stop, and we had an extremely pleasant surprise when we stopped here for lunch.
We had a beautiful little table, right on the hillside, with a full view of the whole rice paddies. It was extremely serene, peaceful, romantic, breathtaking (and all of the other great adjectives you can think of).
We were left to eat our meal in complete peace, it felt as though we were the only people there.
This was the favourite part of our whole Bali trip. It really was a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
The food was lovely too and very cheap!

We had dinner here after being picked up on a scooter near Starbucks. The resort is in a green zone so no cars allowed. The ride was fun.
The restaurant in situated upstairs after walking past part of the kitchen and storage fridges.
Lovely tables, furnishings and such. Nice menu but pricey. Our first wines choices were not available, albeit the cheaper options so we had to settle for a more expensive bottle. Disappointing given the expense of wine in Bali.
The menu had some lovely options to choose from. The starters were lovely and tasty. My partner had lamb rack and I had veal tagliata with some sides. The lamb was well presented but the tagliata was more of a thick carpaccio. Tasty but served lukewarm on cold plates. We mentioned this to the waitron and that the food would have been better served warmer. We got a non-committal apology and shrug of the shoulders. The staff were very attentive in their service.
Would have been 5 stars if not for the cold main course.
Expensive but romantic venue for a special meal.

Great food in superb setting looking out over valley. Staff friendly and professional.
We had grilled seafood platter the first night and 5 course menu on Valentine's Day which was incredibly good value. Highly recommended. Will definitely come back next visit.

On our recent trip to Bali Ubud I became disenchanted with Balinese coffee and longed for a decent cup, well I went no further than Kahiyang. I usually will have sugar with a latte to reduce the bitterness that a lot of coffee has but not with the cup supplied by the staff at Kahiyang. It was excellent. The atmosphere upstairs can be a little breezy but with the often heavy muggy weather in Bali it was perfect. I did not eat at the cafe but would visit most mornings from the villa we were staying at, just a short walk from the cafe. If you are sick of the mud coffee and and looking for a good cup and a recharge then look no further. Price was around $2.50AUS for a latte.

We dined at Kubu twice whilst staying at Mandapa, in a cocoon for 4, and both times were wonderful. Kubu has a gorgeous setting, blended with delicious food and super service. The cocoon's were intimate and private. We had the degustation menu which was superb. I don't eat seafood and so they switched some dishes for me with no problems. The Parmasan Risotto was really delicious in particular, as was the beef. A great place for a special dinner.

I love the place!
The food is really good, I’ve tried the pork ribs and the chicken hamburger and both were delicious!!
And you can use the pool for free, which is beautiful as well.
They have a nice garden with rice fields view where you can enjoy your meal or drinks.
Worth the visit!

Such great food (organic), fresh juices (we had the homemade “ginger fizz” yum), and dessert (black rice pudding!). Very cheap prices - two people, three courses each, with a soft drink and a beer each cost us 220,000. Well worth a visit! We would recommend to go early evening while it’s still light to see the rice field, and wear mosquito repellent!

We have just returned after staying at Pesantian as part of a longer trip.
Positioned in a small village a short drive to Ubud, you quickly see the old Balinese lifestyle firsthand. Positioned amongst the rice paddies and very friendly villagers, enables you to feel true relaxation - we loved it.
Accommodation is excellent with a number of very well appointed villas, a pool and excellent warung with great food, life seemed to slow right down for 4 days.
The cooking class was brilliant with Santika (former Exec Chef for Alila Hotel Group) leading us, the results were personally very satisfying.
Highly recommended for a relaxing out of town stay.
