Don't go there! Below average food in pricey restaurant with very rude service from both the Waitstaff and the owners. They don't know the simplest thing about customer service.
Me and my husband wanted to celebrate with a fancier dinner. I ordered pike perch filet (nearly 24 €). The first filet was clean and ok but the second one was _full_ of fishbones. I collected about 20-30 fishbones so clearly none had been taken away.
At the end we complained. In a normal restaurant they say they're sorry but not in El Monte. The waitress (a middle-aged woman) was mumbling something like "there are always fishbones in fish" and "they left them there at the wholesale". I pointed out the pile of fishbones on my plate to her and told her how unpleasant it was to spit them out all the time and then she asked me: "But the taste was good, wasn't it?"
Let me make clear she NEVER apologized for the bad quality of the food not to mention wanted to compensate it in the bill. We got quite upset.
Then it got weirder. My husband sent an feedback e-mail to the restaurant. Ok, the text was pretty colorful, also a bit humoristic (you can't take things too seriously, not even lousy service) but still the main point was how unprofessional service and food we had got. And what comes next? The persons who run the place called him and started asking him irrelevant questions like: "Where do you work?, How long have you been in the business?" (my husband had told he's a chef himself and would never let a portion like that out of his hands). Normally restaurants are interested if their clients have had bad experiences and want to compensate but apparently in El Monte they feel they can't make mistakes.
My husband had written that we got good connections to Nilsiä and Tahko and will of course spread the word about the bad service. They yelled at my husband that he was threatening them! And still no apology and not even interest in the actual things we complained about.
We've been eating a lot in restaurants all around the world and never had such an unprofessional Waitstaff or response! A simple "I'm sorry" or "this won't happen again" or free dessert etc. small gesture would have been enough but apparently customer service is not familiar for this company.

We spent two nights in Tahko. This place was very good if You check it in light of tripadvisor.
So we walked in and it was really wort of every stars.
It was sad that we didn't have time to eat here next day because I would have wanted to taste their pizza too. Maybe some other trip.

Was on family holiday and on a skiing day tried to visit Pehkubaari with two young kids. The after ski was on at 2pm and looked like a lot of fun. People were dancing on tables, music was loud and sun was shining.. Maybe not a place to eat with kids, but defenately worth a visit if you're into after ski.

Recently opened Vietti was almost empty on a January Monday night. No wonder, as it was freezing cold and not anymore the Xmas season, not yet the skiing holiday season, The food was excellent. Service, too. The prices were rather high, even for the quality.

Hiihtolomakaudella alueen ravintolat ovat täynnä, joten pöytävaraus on suositeltava tähänkin ravintolaan.
Palvelu oli ystävällistä ja nopeaa, alkuruokaa ei tarvinnut odottaa pitkään nälkäisenä. Pääruoatkin tulivat kohtuullisessa ajassa ja erinomaisesti mediumiksi kypsennetty pippuripihvi miellytti syöjää. Annoksen perunavuori olisi riittänyt nälkäisemmällekin syöjälle. Burgerit olivat myös erittäin hyviä.
Jälkiruokalista on lyhyt, perheen kesken tuli lähes koko lista testattua ja suurin osa oli erinomaista, suklaa-punajuuribrowniekin varmasti olisi parempi, jos tarjottaisiin tuoreena eikä jääkaappikylmänä. Muilta osin erittäin hyvä kokonaisuus, myös lastenlistalle on uskallettu ottaa oikeat ruoka-annokset (ja hyvin maistui).

Situated at the top of a ski slope in Tahko, Finland this cafe has the most amazing views. The food was reasonably priced I thought for Finland where food does seem dearer than the U.K. Two burgers, spaghetti bolognase, chicken fillets and chips, an extra portion of chips came to €67 with beer, Pepsi and a carton of juice.
The only reason I haven’t given full marks is because it was so busy we nearly weren’t able to sit down to eat. I think there needs to be more regulation over Seating arrangements. Other than that we thoroughly enjoyed our lunch.

Tervetuloa rentoon alppihenkiseen rinneravintola Tiroliin! Meille on helppo poiketa herkuttelemaan rennosti laskettelun lomassa ja nauttimaan hyvasta palvelusta seka iloisesta ilmapiirista. Meilta saat mutkattoman maukasta ruokaa pieneen ja isoon nalkaan. Meilta saa myos vegaanisia seka gluteenittomia annoksia.

Второй раз ездили в Тахо, склоны открыты на треть, кресельные подъемники вообще не работают. Бугельные постоянно останавливаются из-за чего очереди. Одно радует - много снега как в царстве Деда мороза побывал.
