This could be one of the finest dining establishments I've been to. If you search for fine dining, there is generally one thing that stands out - a really good chef. Sometimes you get lucky, and the restaurant will have exceptional service. And if the stars are really aligned, the dining room is inviting, comfortable, and tastefully decorated. Getting all three is nearly impossible. Blue Moon Evolution hit a grand slam for us. They strive for using local ingredients that are in season, and then create some wonderful options. There was so many really good choices on the menu, that it was hard for us to decide. Food was superb, the service was uncannily above what you would expect, and it was all available in an inviting, and spectacular dining room. We need to go back often.

Big Bean Cafe

Fantastic breakfast and lunch spot - cozy, warm vibe with excellent food and great service! My Yellowstone Omelet was out of this world. Others in our group enjoyed the Down East French Toast, Eggs Florentine and classic Big Bean Breakfast - all were prepared to perfection. In addition to traditional fare, the Big Bean serves up some very creative cuisine - can't wait to go back to sample more of it! As other reviewers have indicated, there's usually a wait to get in. We went at 10:30 on a Monday and waited a modest 15 minutes - a small price to pay for the excellent experience ahead! Big Bean gets my highest recommendation!

Just The Wright Place For Ice

Reviewed By Maggi713 - Baltimore, Maryland

After spending some time antiquing, we decided it was time for ice cream. Our friends raved about the Wright Place – what a fitting name. They sell homemade ice cream and yogurts. You can take it home or eat it outside at the picnic tables. Our friends told us they have the best ice cream and that they were closing for the winter after this weekend. So, they wanted to buy some gallon containers of ice cream to take home. My husband had a chocolate and peppermint ice creams in a cup. He thought the peppermint tasted old - like it was dry and forming ice crystals, but loved the chocolate

Newfields Country Store

Newfields Country Store (NFCS) has been a store in the town of Newfields, New Hampshire (NH) since 1896. Newfields is located in the New Hampshire Seacoast region just 4 miles from historical Exeter, NH. We are the only store in our quaint town, so it is the gathering place for many of our residents. NFCS offers something for everyone, from candy or cat food to a baby quilt.

It's the quinessential New England country store, only better. I stop here every time I'm in the area, whether it's for one of their great Boars Head sandwiches or a homemade baked item. I like that it's not cluttered with 'stuff', like some other tourist-driven country stores. It's cozy, cute and classy, and the service is wonderful. I only wish there were more places like this around rather than the sterile glass and chrome 'cool' spots where the poseurs sip their lattes and are Velcroed to their electronic gadgets.

Eastern Burger Company

Reviewed By SeacoastSally - North Hampton, New Hampshire

I keep going back and forth between rating Eastern Burger Co. average and good (if the rating was just good instead of very good, I probably would go with that). On the whole though, I wasn't dazzled.

EBC is clearly trying very hard to be Lexie's (which sadly it will never be as Lexie's is amazing). They have a broad and clever menu that has the potential to be good but the items themselves are not necessarily well made.

We ordered last night - fries, the Sriracha fries, a Bacon Blue burger, BBQ Bacon burger, and one of each of their specialty shakes, Cotton Candy and Brownie.

I'll start with the shakes. The brownie was disgusting, like cocoa powder (the semi-sweet kind). However, to be fair, I do not like chocolate all that much and I simply tasted it. The cotton candy could have been good. The initial taste was great but it just didn't have enough flavor. After awhile it just tasted like vanilla.

The Siracha fries were a sad disappointment. I was expecting an aioli or something. It was more like they were soaked in siracha, which made them pretty soggy and limp. The goat cheese wasn't melted enough. It was just soft blobs here and there (perhaps they didn't want to melt it but just flinging some goat cheese crumbles on top didn't really have a great effect).

The burgers weren't bad. Really big! Almost too big, if there is such a thing. I like that they don't use a super bulky roll. I hate when the bread to toppings ratio is off. The aiolo on the burger was good, a Worcestershire aioli I believe. Inventive. Nice thick bacon.

I tried by husband's BBQ burger and it was not bad either. Mine was better for sure.

So, at this point I'm feeling pretty good about the Average rating. I'm sure we'll try it again but different items since nothing really wow'd us.

We found this little bakery in between hockey games. We ordered Turkey Reuben, veggie pesto, and Turkey havarti paninis. We also got a bowl of chicken noodle soup. The paninis were all delicious, nicely toasted on the panini maker. The Reuben was especially good, and the pesto was great too. Only complaint was the soup was a bit plain - kind of flavorless. Could have used some salt or something. Also, the prices aren't on the board, so when the 3 sandwiches and a bowl of soup came to $37, we were a bit shocked. But the food was great!

I wanted to do something special for my Vegan wife on her birthday. I sent an email to Jennifer (the owner) and she took off running. She reserved a table in the corner, picked up flowers from a local florist and awaited our arrival. When we got there, Jen explained the menu with us and made adjustments to give us exactly what we wanted. When we were finished, the chef, Miles, brought two specially made deserts to our table with a candle in the one for the birthday girl. My wife really felt special, which payed off for me in a big way. If you are looking for a vegetarian restaurant with a staff willing to make you happy, this is the place.
