Mefjord Brygge is a tourist company in Mefjordvaer, on Senja island. We are located between Kvaloya, Tromso and Lofoten on a national tourist route. Our restaurant offers excellent traditional food, we have nearly 100 beds in all types of accommodation, 18 boats for rent and great possibility to ski and see northern lights in winter as well as midnight sun in the summer!

Great location! Direct on the water and a gorgeous view. Nice and quiet. We stayed at the Solveig stua which was spacious and clean enough. Linnen and towels are provided.
Downside for Mefjord Brygge for us was the fact the owner wasn't particularly welcoming. We didn't feel his heart is in the tourism business. No tips about what to see or do in the area, after three days came to tell us to move our car (which was no problem of course) but not even a question whether we were enjoying our stay. No information on what time to check out or where to drop the keys. Maybe the lack of service was because of winter?
Also be advised that free wifi is advertised but it's not very reliable and extremely slow.

Looking for something else than pizza, diner or burgers we found thuis place, about 40 mins out from Bardufoss. Apart from the scenic drive here, the restaurant fullfilled out wish for something different. Great local food, a good choice of drinks and a nice place to sit really made us happy. Definitely a place to remember and come back to. Only dislike we had was the 'at the bar' ordering which is quite common in Norway; it makes for a cheap impression...

This restaurant has very edible food and (for Norway) is not hideously expensive (for Norway) -- that is to say, it costs about twice what I would pay for the same thing in North America. In Norway, this puts you well ahead of the game. The food is not exclusively Italian. Considering that I was part of an extremely large party, service was efficient.

We were surprised to fine such quality Thai food in Finnsnes. We were there the weekend day that the owner was offering her sushi special. It was fresh and excellent. Most interesting combinations of fresh fish. Do recomment.

Flott plass på Tranøy. Nybakt-lukta møtte oss på parkeringsplassen utenfor Doroteas fryd. Etter å ha spist nydelig mat, gikk vi opp til kapellet som ligger like ovenfor. Det var dessverre låst, men vi ble fortalt at vi kunne ha lånt nøkkel hos Doroteas Fryd. Anbefaler både kaféen, bakeriet og kapellet.

Приятное кафе на центральной улице. Еда не совсем обычная для Норвегии. Кажется все, включая хлеб, делают сами. Но к сожалению, ингредиенты гемодифицированные (помидоры, перец и пр.), а так идея хорошая.

We came here with low expectations, knowing what many cafés in Norway are like. While we were initially puzzled as to whether we were at the right place or not sice there were no signs, once we ordered our coffee and baked goods we were pleasantly surprised. This is not the place to go for fancy hand brewed coffe, but they do good milk based espresso drinks, the baked goods are good and the coffee beans used are good quality.
While the space is not the best and opens more or less straight into the shopping center, this is certainly a good place to go for coffee

I stopped for lunch on the way back from Lofoten. It is a nice and simple cafe which serves average and unpretentious food and has nice and smiling staff. But a bunch of five stars? Come on!

Ate here 2 nights during our stay in the hotel. The food was excellent and service friendly. Only thing is that the menu is very limited. Other than that would definitely recommend.
