We visited Sawmill for dinner one evening while staying in Seaside. The restaurant was 1/2 block from our hotel, making it very convenient to check out. Along with my pizza, I ordered a Chicken Caesar Salad, which was very tasty. The chicken fingers ordered by one of the other adults were good but nothing out of the ordinary. We were pretty excited about the pizza since so much was written about the large slices. I have to say I was not overly impressed. Yes, the slices were large, but extremely thin, like there was barely any crust at all. The taste was good but not something that would bring me back to buy it again or to suggest other people have to try it. As others mentioned, it is a busy place and very noisy. Overall, it was an okay experience.

We went to Bobber's for breakfast while vacationing in Seaside Hts.--it was only a couple of blocks from our condo, so it was nice to be able to walk there.

We had a group of 7, but even with a bigger group, we were still seated pretty quickly. Our server was awesome...I can't remember her name, and I wish I could, because she was really good--she was friendly, attentive and just a good server. I definitely give Bobber's an A+ for service.

The food was really good, as well, and the portions were huge, even though it was very affordable. I had the 3 pancakes and bacon and the pancakes were really good! Another in our group had an omelette and it was HUGE! Others had biscuits & gravy, and French toast. Everyone left very full and very happy!

We went to Bobbers on our last day of vacation. We wished we'd gone earlier in the week so we could make a return trip! We highly recommend to anyone looking for a really good, affordable breakfast!

We came here for dinner for my mother-in-law’s 95th birthday - what a treat! Although my brother-in-law and his wife live in Toms River, they had never been here before. We found it on TA and everything was wonderful! Our server Kate was great and the food was so delicious! I had the Shrimp fra diavolo and it was perfect- not too mild or too hot. My husband had the tortellini special and loved it. We also had the mussels, and stuffed mushrooms appetizer. Other dishes included the chicken francaise, ziti with shrimp/crab in vodka sauce and papardelle Bolognese. We’ve been to a number of Italian restaurants in the area, but this is definitely my favorite one! We’ll be back!

If you live in Toms River or the Jersey Shore you are sure to know of Obcos!
These donuts are to die for! Yes death by donut. Obcos makes their donuts fresh daily and then they stay open until sold out (which doesn't take long). Be prepared to stand on line, but don fret they move the line along because they have adequate help. And bring cash because they don't accept credit cards. Enjoy a Jersey Shore Icon!!!

Great dining experience. Both the food and the service were excellent. We started with stuffed artichoke and mussels (sauce was delicious), the chicken franchise and mashed potatoes was scrumptious and my husband's fish special was also very good. Bring your own wine and enjoy a tasty indoor or outdoor dining experience.

We visit my brother's family about once a year here in Seaside. I make a trip to the bakery almost every day. Diet be damned. Everything I've tried here is terrific, but the crumb buns are to die for. I love them. It's truly a shame that they only stay open for the summer season... come Labor Day and the place is closed again until the following beach season.

"Bringing Sexy Food Back"Executive Chef Michael Jurusz Bio It’s been said that art is everywhere, except it has to pass through a creative mind. Following that credo to a culinary end, Executive Chef Mike Jurusz has channeled who he is, where he’s been and where he’s going onto the plates of thousands of satisfied customers in his 27 years in the industry - earning his rightful place as one of the most renowned chefs at the Jersey Shore and in the state. His subsequent travels would take him all over the country, working for some of the most accomplished chefs and helping him refine a cuisine indigenous to himself which he likes to call Trans-Continental Fusion. Over the years, Chef Mike has transformed several New Jersey restaurants with his own inimitable style as a technician on a mission to serve up something memorable, winning numerous awards for innovative and whimsical dishes that perfectly weave the bold and the subtle, earning plenty of play on the air and in print with his charm and appeal, all while establishing a charitable reputation for delivering to those in need from behind the line. Ate there on a Sunday evening. Seated quickly, ordered our dinners but was disappointed in the tired tomato on the sandwich with the crab cake. Crab cake was fine but french fries and tomato should never have left the kitchen. French fries looked like they were sizzled one too many times and were cold. Empty ketchup bottle on the table. Not my best meal at the shore.

Can I get a YUM?! Long line moved quickly. Fully staffed with very nice and very patient employees! The ice cream was delicious! They have so many flavor options and toppings you could create endless combinations. Here's the rundown of what we had... Husband had a large sundae with rum raisin ice cream, hot fudge and whipped cream. After that he went back for a triple scoop cone with mint chocolate chip. I had a few bites and it was delicious. I had a large sundae with vanilla peanut butter ice cream, peanut butter syrup, peanuts and chocolate sprinkles. OMG! To die for! My sister had a large sundae with chocolate chip ice cream, health bar and hot fudge. It was excellent and I should know because she could only eat half of it so I finished it for her. This is a great place for ice cream any season of the year. They have ample indoor and outdoor seating. It is cash only so be prepared.
