One of the most famous attractions in Schoorl is its Klimduin, a dune in the middle of the village.
Just in front of this dune it's 't Trefpunt. We chose this restaurant randomly, as we were looking for some place where we could eat some typical Dutch crêpes. We decided to see outside, so we can enjoy of the unique view of the Kilmduin.
Even though it took a bit to get our crêpes, the waiting was worthy... I have never had a better cheese crêpe in my whole life... Delicious!
Furthermore, I would like to praise the two young ladies who waited our table. All smiles!

My boyfriend and I visited this diner on Saturday 22nd September 2012. We popped in for lunch after shopping nearby.
When you first walk in, its impressive, with its 50's theme booths, juke box, ice cream counter etc.
The menu was as expected, burgers, milkshakes, ribs, etc.
The only thing I fancied was the chowder - which was "off the menu" when I ordered it, so I just settled for a hot chocolate whilst my boyfriend ordered the chilli burger.
The presentation left a lot to be desired - nothing special, just a burger shoved on a plate for £10.25. My boyfriend said that it was bland and tasteless, and certainly nothing to write home about.
We didn't think it was worth the money - the service was poor, with a bored-looking guy dragging himself around. It was 3.00pm and they were turning people away because of a wedding party that was due. It was like we were an inconvenience to them.
As you can probably tell, we won't be hurrying back. Shame because the décor is cool.

We went there for lunch but there was only fastfood type of meals: the more traditional restaurant type of food was only available in the evening. The atmosphere was nice (some quite original art exhibition when we were there), friendly, though very simple/relaxed as regards the terrasse (plastic chairs). The hot chocolate with whipped cream was exceptional, especially on a cold winter day. Great place for a Sunday afternoon chillout. Cheap prices.

I have eaten here 3 times in the last 4 years with the most recent visit being last week. I come here because it's the only michelin star restaurant in the area but to be honest every time i have eaten here i have thought to myself that i should go somewhere else next time..this time i am definitely sticking to it. Having a Michelin star means that expectations are high and although is good and the service is good i still expect excellent especially at the price. On our last visit for my birthday my husband had asked them to do something special with dessert for the celebration. He even called on the sane day as a reminder. They did nothing. When we were leaving he spoke to a staff member(who seemed to be in charge) in my presence to ask what happened. The staff member said he had heard about it but didn't know what went wrong. He was rather nonchalant and didn't even a proper apology to us. My husband and i were disappointed by this.

We were there pretty early, but is was quite busy already. The tables for two were very close together. Food is not too fancy, but good.

Then you need to go to Zilte Zoen at the base of the huge sand dune hill. Exercise all you want - run up the hill if you want (I double dog dare you to!!!) and then run down being careful of the bodies along the way. The main trip, it seems, is to run a bit then crash in the sand, get up; run, crash, get up; ad inf. At the top go a little further for another great view of the area.
Then go to the Zilte Zoen at the bottom for your just rewards - an excellent array of coffees, beers, and lunch ideas with an attentive wait staff.
Then find a place to nap...

OK, I appear to be pretty critical about restaurants, most likely as I can cook pretty well myself.
Bergen Binnen however surprised me very positive.
They have a small card yet well spread, so most likely you will be able to find something to your tast.
At least I did.
We did 3 courses and non of them surprisingly was negative.
I wanted some changes in sauce and ice, all was possible at no extra charge.
Well done.
One course we had to wait a little, which we did not even found disturbing, yet the waiter offered us free coffee for the delay. We did not complain nor asked for anything.
It came all by themselves.
All in all very positive. Waiters were top as well.
Some tables were sold 2 times, so more people know this is a good spot to go to.

We were welcomed in with no Reservations..
The ambience of the place , the friendly greeting and smiles by the workers there and the food served is just superb... The food is so delicious and the display of food and the mixture of flat ours in the plate just makes the experience there exquisite!

Admittedly, it was a scorching summer's day - and you don't get too many of those in The Netherlands, but who needs the Riviera! We spend a lovely afternoon on one of the friendliest Beaches in The Netherlands and early evening we stumbled onto this little gem. We enjoyed mussels, kids had burger and lamb rack, topped off with their version of "grand dessert". It was absolutely lovely. Staff are incredibly friendly and patient - and it was heaving that evening! Would definitely recommend, even when the weather is not that glorious!
