I was ther with my family and we booked a table in advance. They prepared our table really nice and even made a menu card where they wellcomed us. The atmosphere is very nice and during the summer you can also sit outside. They offer traditional Austrian food with very good quality. The staff is friendly and also the owners of the restaurant show up and say hello to the guest. I can warmly recommend this place. It is totally worth the money.

The Stiftsschank in the first courtyard of the monastery Kremsmuenster is a long established eatery capable of feeding large crowds. The menu features daily specials reflecting seasonal bounty. The focal point of the regular menu is regional Austrian cuisine. The kitchen falls unfortunately prey to the trend of plate decorations that are alien to the dishes. My roasted kidneys were adorned with two slices of raw tomatoes and a few sprigs of watercress. The same watercress was found on a dish of scrambled eggs and chanterelles. Portion size is generous but the service seems a little bit dysfunctional. We only found out that one of the daily specials ordered was no longer available when the remaining food for the table was ready to be served. Prices are in line with other restaurants in the area. There is an outdoor area that is preferable weather permitting to the huge indoor dining hall.

Wir haben uns zum Abendessen verabredet und einen klaren, warmen Sommerabend mit unglaublicher Weitsicht erwischt. Die Eigentümer und das Personal war flexibel und kompetent. Wir hatten das "Überraschungsmenü" mit Weinbegleitung gewählt und es war ein echtes Erlebnis.

Not just a restaurant but also a hotel with classy laid out rooms. The chef produces the finest food and was working as cook for the Red Bull Formula one team for a few years.

Always popular with locals, this excellent greek restaurant is a must-visit for us whenever we are in Upper Austria. An extensive menu is available at lunchtime or in the evening, mostly greek dishes but with excellent schnitzel as well (try the "kinderschnitzel" even if you're an adult). The staff are very helpful and flexible and as long as you can use basic restaurant German you will have a lovely meal. Plus complimentary ouzo at the start and metaxa at the end of the meal for the grown-ups, and lollies for the kids.

I think this was one of the culinary highlights of our recent trip. We stopped for ice creams and coffees mid-afternoon, and were blown over by the food!
The Peach melba actually looked like the one in the menu. Fantastic!
I will be back again one day!

Vom diversen Schnitzelvariationen, Steaks, bis hin zu einer deftigen Jause bekommt man hier alles.
Die sehr freundliche Chefin hat immer ein Späßchen auf den Lippen.
