The northwest market town of Sapa is colorful and charming, providing the perfect oasis in the midst of a strenuous mountain trek or rice-paddy tour. The Gothic stone church at the center of town is a bull’s-eye in the center of shops and stalls, serving as a reminder of the town’s French missionary influence. Dine on Vietnamese or European-inspired cuisine downtown, and don’t miss the Saturday night "love market," one of the most potent—and strictest—single’s nights imaginable.

We tried the VietEmotion restaurant next to Le Petit Gecko but after waiting without attention we left. We tried this location next to Buffalo Bell and were not disappointed. We had two cocktails and main meals for 500,000VND. Service and food were excellent.

Are you looking for your private Sapa? It’s all in Red Dao House Restaurant.Located in the heart of the town of Sapa. The Red Dao House restaurant is a fascinating traditional wooden house on stilts of the Red Dao hill briber in the North West mountain of Vietnam. It is much more than a restaurant; it’s a wonderful dining experience.
No, truly. It did. Delivered by a capable service staff, the sizzling iron dish on a scorched platter brings with it a wave of savory Umami that only gets better! MUCH better! Crispy garlic, carmelized onion, moist and crisped salmon... it’s the best thing we’ve ever eaten. Be sure to steal a tea cup! It will delight for years to come. The building is gorgeous, especially upstairs! If you like architecture and ethnic design, don’t miss that. Gorgeous simple timber framing with lacquered posts and a bruiser for heating. So good...

On a cold February evening you really need to be right by the small fireplace to get the five-star experience, but people are generally willing to help you squeeze in, and conversation flows with the warm wine. Music was good and not too loud.

Location is quite street on the way to Catcat village. The antique designed Sapa Nature View Restaurant offers you various tasty authentic Vietnamese dishes and standard Western menu for lunch and dinner. Accomplished with an extensive menu of beverages including fresh fruit shakes, coffees and wines, the restaurant ensures you a wholesome meal with great food, excellent service in a cozy place and fine spirits, all at a price that is most reasonable in Sapa town.
Located along the road that directly overlooks the valley.
For was decently priced and has a wide spread of options to choose from, has vegetarian food.
Ordered the Vegetarian set, it was delicious. Same could be said for the other Non-Vegetarian local sets, but the pizza was lacklustre (probably not their forte)
A decent place to dine with a view.

Called in late afternoon for a couple of beers. The waitress told us ‘it’s happy hour, buy one, get one free’. Great, two Saigon beers then. Decided we may as well have two more - bonus! Until the bill came, for four beers. We queried it, the waiter told us only certain beers are in the happy hour, and not ours! So, 120,000 dongs it was then. Handed over a 500,000 note. When the change came the waiter put it down and said ‘change, 280,000’. I may not be a mathematician, but that didn’t add up. Called him back over, he apologised for his ‘mistake’, took the change away, came back with the correct amount. We left. Bye bye tip. Bye bye Le Petit Gecko. We won’t be back!

The Hill Station Deli & Boutique stocks a wide range of imported cheese, cold cuts, wine and beer together with a menu consisting of traditional deli fare such as homemade baguettes, burgers, panini etc. Also serves a full breakfast menu and Italian coffee throughout the day.
What a welcomed treat! We arrived in Sapa really early so after a nap didn't know wether to have breakfast or lunch. We were so lucky to find this place. The staff were attentive and friendly and the menu was mouth watering. If I could have chosen all of the cheese, I probably would have. We had some delicious baguettes and some very tasty coffee afterwards. The staff were really helpful when we asked for advise on sight seeing too. All around a great visit!

The Hill Station Signature Restaurant serves authentic traditional ethnic cuisine from the area around Sapa in a contemporary and relaxing ambiance.
The food here is very good local Hmong food. We tried a variety of dishes. The ones that stuck out for me were the sweet potato appetizer, slow cooked pork, dried buffalo, and the bamboo/pork.
They cook the pork and dry the buffalo in the chimney of their fireplace (take a peek up inside). The flavours are great!
The service is good and the atmosphere is very relaxed. While you’re here you feel like your in a mid-scale restaurant in any major city in the world. The prices are good considering the quality of the food. About 1M VND for four people. It was a nice change from the usual places we’ve been eating in Vietnam.

Went here based on TripAdvisor reviews and it met our expectation. Spring rolls were fresh and tasty and the coconut pork dish was devine. All served by a lovely family in a cosy setting. Highly recommend.
