Lucia and I used to eat here when we traveled to Sangolqui for the outdoor fruit and vegetable market. This place is on the west side of the San Pedro River from Sangolqui and I believe the bario is San Pedro, not Sangolqui, but none of the maps recognize San Pedro so Sangolqui it is.
When ever I'm in Ecuador, I make the pilgrimage to Viveres Cecy for the barbecue. If you take the bus down, it's nice to get off the bus in San Pedro, have lunch then walk off some of your lunch by walking across the river over to Sangolqui. The street that crosses the river takes you to the main square where the Church is located near the market. By now you have room for a Salcedo!
Grab some fresh fruit and vegetables for less than you would pay in Quito and jump the bus back to Quito.

Our experience was great, food and service. Also the ambiance was welcoming, nice grounds. The menu invite us to try new plates for us and we love it. We will certainly recommend it and will return when in the area.

El peor restaurante de parrilladas! El primer lugar donde todos los ejemplos de pésimo servicio se vuelven realidad! Estudiar hospitalidad te abre la perspectiva del funcionamiento de un establecimiento de comida y la negligencia de como la "dueña" maneja una situación crítica fue decepcionante y enervante. No lo recomiendo a nadie y si lo conocen, aconsejo que salga de una de sus opciones para comer.

Casa Vecchia, is the only authentic Italian restaurante in "Valle de los Chillos". Using the recipe of our Nonna, the pasta is hand made, pizzas are baked in a brick oven. The best place in town to have dinner, coffee or have a great time with friends!
