Chinatown

Reviewed By Gourmettrollet - Oslo

A family of four spent a Sunday dinner here. We hadn't booked in advance, but it was crowded so we were a bit lucky with getting a table. Restaurant and service was ok, but no charm or making you feel very welcome. Prices are fair, but quality very ordinary to be Chinese. Rapid serving. This is not a place for celebrations, merely a place to stop when instant hungry.

Egon Restaurant

Reviewed By Parvaneh2 - Grimstad, Norway

My husband and I went to this Egon restaurant last night, I ordered burger and my husband ordered double chopped steak, and both foods were very dry and overcooked, we could barely eat them. Even the potato chips were dry and not freshly cooked. The area was also too dark. I was very disappointed, as I have tried Egon in Oslo before and the food was amazing. In general I don't like the idea that you have to go to the cashier and order, how hard to have someone to get the orders.

I was visiting this restaurant with a friend, and we look forward to eat a nice sushi meal. But we where very disappointed. The rice was bad, in fact very bad. It was to dry, ice cold, and not sticky at all, and falled apart when you tryed to hold them with chopsticks. I think it was old rice they kept in the fridge for a long time.
Bad service! I will not eat there again! So stay away! there is many other nice restaurants in Sandvika.

We have eaten at Restaurant Casper numerous times since they opened.
The quality and composition of the dishes has consistently been above our expectations. The menu is limited, yet has something for every taste and hunger level.
The wine alternatives reflect careful selection and are reasonably priced.
We will continue to eat here with family, friends, colleagues and by ourselves.
They also have a back garden which is open in the summer, sometimes with live entertainment.

A small restaurant (5-6 tables) with mainly take-away focus.
Restaurant is clean with several free parking lots outside.
The food (sushi) is fresh, good taste and nicely presented. Prices are good. Making it a good deal and great value for money. The best deals they have, are the deal of the day (100-149kr) and their family sushi combo with 60 pcs of sushi for just 489 kr.
The family combo is our favourite. Watch out for coupons. They had this combo deal with coupon (Let's Deal) for only 289kr.
That is a fantastic good deal!

This is a hidden gem of a restaurant in the quiet suburbs of Bekkestua, no more than 20 min by T-bane from the centre of Oslo. The food is great and the staff make you feel right at home in the elegant localities. Although the prices are a bit stiff even by norwegian standards.
But all in all, well worth a visit.
