We had dinner here while visiting San Carlos. The entries were good, so was the chips and guacamole. The view is unbeatable!

Bonifacio's

Eclectic cuisine and Decor full of detail, texture, color, and flavor. All conjugated to perfection with an inspired hint of our beautiful Mexico.

Reviewed By Duncan C - Green Valley, Arizona, United States

Took us 15min to get our drink, another 3o to get our appetizer. And the margarita was bad-premix and off taste. Did not eat because of the service. It appeared as though every meal was not sourced locally-fish not native, and you surely would not be able to get those hefty prices for the local cattle. The restaurant is well decorated-but what does that mean if the foos and service is poor.

Jax Snax

Reviewed By jemimajones2016 - Tucson, Arizona

This little unassuming restaurant on the main drag in San Carlos has great breakfasts and decent "normal" American food, as well as most of the hybrid Mexican dishes tourists are used to. They usually take dollars and are accustomed to tourists. You'll like it.

Soggy Peso Bar

The original beach bar in San Carlos. Fresh seafood, great paninis, cold beer, margaritas and live music. A family tradition.

Reviewed By Todd T

The live music was really great and people were dancing on the beach. Our drinks were good and moderately priced. It was mid day so we only snacked on Nacho's but they were covered with cheese, jalapenos and other veggies. It has a great atmosphere for a beach bar and a fun place to spend an afternoon.

La Trattoria

Reviewed By AdventureForward - 2love2hike

I have always loved Paolo's place but I've been gone for awhile and something is just not right. I'm really sorry to say it because I've recommended it to everyone I know and or anyone who would even slightly listen. Paolo is a sweetheart. He still is. Unfortunately the food just isn't quite as tasty as it used to be. The spinach salad had lots of long tough stems... that was the first bad sign. The lasagna just wasn't quite right. The straw then ended it all though... the Tiramisu wasn't good. We have stopped just for Tiramisu to go in the past. I have had many birthday dinners there (okay, DELICIOUS Tiramisu) but no longer. Sorry Paolo, we will miss your sweet gregarious personality.

Blackie's Reataurant

This fabulous restaurant is located in San Carlos right on the main drag. Surprised it isn't already listed. It's a favorite spot.

Reviewed By David D

Blackie's is a little more "fancy" than most places in San Carlos. The pricing will reflect that but so does the service and food. This is a combination Mexican Food/Steak House. The quality of they're meals is very good but you will pay for it.

Piccolo

The owner is very hands-on and the food is consistently good. One of favorite places in San Carlos. The wine options are very reasonably priced, the sauces aren't too heavy and the salad is old-time Italian restaurant style - very good.

Rosa's Cantina Restaurant

Reviewed By woofer2 - Yukon Territory

I was a bit dissuaded by earlier reviews talking about ordering your food at the counter. I was envisioning a roadside food stand (at which I have had some great meals). Rosa's Cantina is nothing like that. It is a full sized restaurant with some twenty tables. But it does not have servers. You order at the counter and pick up your food on a tray and take it to your table. But the food is great with the usual enchiladas, rellenos, burritos, etc. They have a good selection of beers and bottles of wine but no spirits. My wife said the Chile rellenos were the best she had ever had. When we get tired of sea food in San Carlos this is where we will go.
