Positioned in the ancient and incredibly beautiful "old town" of San Benedtto and located in a brick vaulted, late medieval building (that, presumably, was originally the ground floor of four or five houses), this superb restaurant has a superb, welcoming atmosphere and fantastic food. The first thing to arrive on the table is a basket of bread, all of which (apart from the plain white bread) has been freshly cooked on site, tastes wonderful and includes a curry bread that is truly delectable. The proprietor, Sigismondo Gaetani, is a welcoming, friendly and most knowledgeable host whose commitment and enthusiasm are the guarantees of this superb restaurant. Then there is the chef, whose original and thoughtful dishes are the outstanding hallmark of what for us was a most memorable meal. This is not a place that dishes out vast platefuls of food. Every part of the order delivered was beautifully displayed, original and fantastic to eat. It is not cheap - but, because of ite highest quality, it is well worth the price.
Benson, our dog, went with us and - unlike many other restaurants we have visited - was readily allowed to lie beneath our table and he and us were not forced to be sit at some separate, distant corner.
This was, without doubt, the best by far of the meals we ate during our stay in San Benedetto del Tronto. If it had been possible on TripAdvisor, I would have given "Degusteria del Gigante" 10 stars.

Have been there for lunch. Well received and people friendly atmosphere disposal to prepare a fish lunch with 4 small local dishes of entries and a main course for two people fried and roasted fish. Very good and well prepared. Price in line with the quality and courtesy.

At the moment this restaurant is n°1 on Tripadvisor for San Benedetto. I have been coming to San Benedetto area for the last thirty years and comparing Tato's offer to the average high level restauration of the town and surroundings I think that the quality/price ratio is not excellent . Non all the antipasti ( around 15 small samples ) of the " Percorso di mare " were impressive, whereas I appreciated very much the seafood mezzemaniche and linguine. The atmosphere and customer care reminds me of several local ordinary seafood trattorias, although the reastaurant offers a relatively elegant appearance. Nice place, nothing impressive.

From the reviews, this fish restaurant appears to have a very good reputation. I don't know why. The waiters, the service and the food were at best very ordinary. Being close to the sea, this outdoor fish restaurant obviously caters for fast-service visitors. The fish food (in shich it specializes) was well enough cooked - although cold by the time it arrived at the table. Obviously a popular place, for us its only advantage was that it was not expensive and thus reinforcing the old diner's truism that normally you only get what you pay for.

Rarely I give 5 stars to any place, but this is the exception, as a quality of food here. We stay a couple of times in San Benedetto dell Tronto every year for a business, and every time we visit this wonderful place run by one family. The quality of food and wine is something you can rely here. This is the place you will want to come back to enjoy great satisfaction once again. Cheers to Paolo from Russia!

This is a hit restaurant! I don't Know where to start from. The location is stunning: in the Ancient heart of San Benedetto, right next to a square with a breathtaking Belvedere Terrace.
The restaurant impresses the most for its romantic atmosphere that intertwines with a shabby chic character. And then the food...mouthwatering. the variety and accuracy of the menu are hardly found anywhere else, anybody can eat here: vegeterians, meat lovers, pregnant women; Alessandro, the owner,will make sure you will have the best food experience ever.
So, wonderful location, top quality food, amazing friendly and caring staff, nice prices... this is the place to be!

What can I say? Probably the tastiest and (crucially) most imaginative aperativo we've had. A lot of thought, care and attention has gone into what they serve. Although you wouldn't think so, given the extremely laid back attitude of the owner. We both went for their Gold offering and we got to drink almost a full bottle of Prosecco and half a bottle of a delicious Montepulciano d'Abruzzo between us. All for the advertised price of 20 Euros a-head.

This place is very popular with locals and with very good reason I must add. We tried mix of see food with main focus on calamari and these were the tastiest calamari I ever tried. Calamari are soft and tender, fried to perfection. I guess it helps they are almost in the harbor near the fish market with easy access to fresh ingredients. Down side is that there is not much place for sitting and all "tables" (read barrels :)) are outdoor.

We came by foot and not via the beach. We noticed a flat that we did not really like but stated that it had the perfect beach view. Then we found out the restaurant was at the ground floor of that flat...
When we entered the restaurant and took place on the outside Terrace we were amazed. Perfect view, very quiet, so different from the entrance!
The food was very good, we enjoyed it all. Service was very good, very nice waiter!
Worth while a visit.

Modest pizzeria in an unassuming location in via dei Laureati is run by people from Naples, the home of pizza and it shows. The pizza is excellent and very well priced. If the simple Margherita is good than it is certain that all pizza there is good as there is no cheating with a pizza with like this. No cover up is possible with toppings and cheese.
