We enjoyed our ice cream. But it was no better than a Baskin Robbins. Cones appeared to be store bought and dipped too deeply into the chocolate, leaving only the very tip to hold without getting chocolate all over your hand.

I had the soup here and it was just "meh", BUT the sandwiches coming out to other patrons looked AMAZING! The chocolate, chocolate cookies were amazing.

We wanted a quick healthy lunch and both had the soup. It was fantastic, hearty, spicy, a generous portion and vegan! We eat meat, but are veggie leaning and this soup was loaded with fresh ingredients, great flavors with quinoa, greens and peanut butter providing protein. I was inspired and will make this Bolivian soup at home.

We stopped by the Little Ren Hen Bakery looking for coffee, and found awesome service, a lovely atmosphere and a delicious savory breakfast pastry. The savory pastries aren't on their regular menu, so be sure to ask about it at the counter. This place smells divine.
Nice outdoor seating available with some shade.

Our group dined at Moonlight Pizza based on several high recommendations from friends, and we were not disappointed. The service was friendly and attentive, the salads were worthy in themselves, and the pizza was well worth the visit.
I look forward to eating at Moonlight Pizza on our next visit to Salida.

How about "good morning" or "how are you today?" or "welcome to café dawn" in a genuinely cheery, friendly, welcoming tone? Instead you're greeted as if you are the biggest inconvenience of the day and a gruff "and what do you want?" WOW! Really? What do I want?!? How do you stay in business? I know my one bad review won't steer all the customers away (especially with the good reviews Café Dawn receives). Good thing the Allegro coffee is outstanding, because the customer service is LACKING! (I don't drink coffee, but my husband does) He loves their product, but I can't stand the gentlemen that continues to belittle us while we are giving him our business! If I'm driving, I will drive my husband to the BDCC next time we are in Salida.

Excellent food. Stopping through on our way to Buena Vista. Really great pizza and fast service. Pretty great place and excellent beer. Good salad and also offers pasta dishes. We will be stopping again and will recommend to anyone going that way.

We've been to sacred ground a few times and have been impressed with the excellent drip coffee. They usually have two drip coffee choices available from the local roaster Mountain Phoenix. This is some of the best coffee I've had, and I bought some one pound bags to take home with me. The mochas are also great, and they make a very nice Mexican Mocha.

While on a road trip, we stopped at Patio Pancake Place based on trip advisor reviews. And it was all that people expressed....a delicious breakfast! Perfect pancakes and fluffy eggs. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his breakfast burrito. A decent size restaurant that could use a few decorations, but the food was so good and the waitresses very friendly and attentive, we’d definitely go again.

Clams and Mussels appetizers were excellent. Half portions were ample.
Clams and linguine for the missus and a NY strip for me. Both were good but the NY strip was really excellent. A good selection of beers a nice ambiance and our server Jessie was just great.
