Had a lunch here two weeks ago. The restaurant is good the food was ok but nothing special. It was very cheap. On the other hand there are really small tables it´s difficult to put all dishes really especially if you are four. The service is polite but could be quicker. I think I would come again but I wouldn´t be eager to go here.

I tried here several times. And it's always the same - unpleasant, antagonistic attitude of the manager/owner? of this place ruins the whole experience of stopping here and having a relaxing coffee break.
The selection of cakes is great, you can try cottage-cheese/apple/millet wonder or a buckwheat apple cakes, which are unusual and very nice, together with lemon cheesecake and all the more common cakes, coffee is quite nice and they carry a very nice tea brand. But all that is really not worth having part of your day ruined because you had to encounter a sour-faced stuff and feel you are a bother to their 'best place in Roznov'.
If you do want to try this place out, go sit upstairs, there's less stuff traffic.

We went into this restaurant on basis of Tripadvisor recommendations and I must say that we were satisfied with all meals. We had carpacio with tasty hot rolls, rabbit with mashed potatoes, little dumplings with poppy seeds and chicken with potatoes for children and a homemade hamburger for my husband. His French fries did not look great but when he got ketchup, he found them ok. We were served rather fast but after the lunch suddenly noone seemed to care for us and after some time when children got nervous, my husband had to settle the bill at the bar as noone even came nearer so that we could ask for the bill.

Set in an old brewery the atmosphere both in terms temperature and general psychological eating location was perfect. Outside was an uncomfortable 28 inside was perfect.
The food here is exactly what I wanted excellent Czech food, beautifully prepared very fresh and tasty, really if your are in town there is no excuse for not eating here -great.

We came as a large group on a Friday mid afternoon after a morning of wedding preparations for the following day. This restaurant is local to the bride's house and one that she and her family visit often. We were seated outside on a long table, and quickly served drinks while we considered the lengthy menu.
The food offering is mostly Czech cuisine. During the week there are daily lunch specials from 70 to 90 Kr, There are non-Czech offerings (such as a few oriental dishes, pasta and hamburgers etc.) but this is a good place to be adventurous! Note that the menu is only in Czech, so if you don't speak it, you will need someone to translate, or a good menu translation book.
They also serve craft beer and a full selection of hot and cold alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
Service is efficient and the food is delicious. The soups are good. I had beef in cream sauce with knedlíky (bread dumplings) which was delicious and filling. Others had various pork and chicken dishes.
This place is a bit off the beaten track, away from the main square, across the main road, but within easy walking distance from town. Well worth checking out if you are in the area.
