Auberge De La Pointe

The meal plan includes a 3 course table hote dinner and a very good breakfast buffet. There are lots of choices on the table hote menu. We enjoyed the sweetbreads as an appetizer. The veal medallions in white wine sauce were perfectly cooked and tender, same for the rack of lamb. Dessert was a large table with many delicious choices. The wine list was good and prices were reasonable. The dining room was very pleasant and not noisy.

Poutine and hot dogs. Gravy for poutine is good. Good toasted hot dog just as it should be not more. Quite expensive for: 1 fries, 1 poutine and 2 hot dogs no beverage almost $20. Place is clean and people are friendly. Nice place to go.

Regal Glace Enr

Regal Glace was conveniently located right next to our hotel, Auberg de la Pointe (good place). Instead of going for higher-end dining, my family of four wanted a casual place to have dinner and watch the locals interact. Regal Glace was just the place! It had the most amazing pizza, EVER! Soft dough, crunchy crusts, heavenly mozzarella and quality toppings. After chatting with the owner, "Marty" we found out he researched for the highest quality ingredients he could find. No wonder the food was so good! Even though we had no more room in our belly, my daughter and I still made room for an ice cream cone. Mmm!
Regal Glace had the perfect atmosphere and view, and from what I observed was a local gathering place for families and friends for a good meal and dessert without paying high prices. Marty the owner was fluent in English, young and fun to talk to.
If you happen to be in the area, definitely pay him a visit!

After a long day on the road we decided pizza in the hotel was our meal of choice. Thanks to Trip Advisor reviews we chose Bon Voyage. The pizza was delicious, crisp crust, fresh ingredients and good service. Unfortunately they did not have salads available. One tip if you are doing take out, ask them to cut the pizza.

Limited selection menu (can be viewed on restaurant website) with high quality ingredients, well presented. Dinne menu offers the choice of a la carte ( $30 to $40) or table d'hote for $12 additional.
Service was attentive. Members of our group speak both English and French, and the thougtful waitress offered to speak English, to make everyone feel comfortable, though, the local language is French.
The best part of the evening, was to have had a separate room to ourselves, allowing for a pleasant evening.

This is a chain of restaurants that specializes in BBQ chickens. They use nice meaty chickens and their preparation method always seems to ensure that the chicken is moist. In the last couple of years the franchise has added other menu items (ribs, salads, etc) so that they now have something for everyone. It is an excellent place for lunch or dinner. This particular franchise is easy to access from either the town or the highway. It has a very fashionable bar area in the restaurant as well as the restaurant proper. The service is excellent, fast and efficient. The servers speak English and English menus are available. The restaurant is large and nicely decorated. Washrooms are clean. Parking lot is large.

This restaurant is a few steps away from the many others on that street. It has very pleasant outdoor Seating surrender by luxurious flower boxes.
The staff is very pleasant.
I had a vegetarian crepe and my husband had a poutine marchez.
The crepe was very thin and I think made with buckwheat. It was filled with delicious vegetable and a wonderful curry kind of sauce.i enjoyed it very much.
It was served with a fresh mesclun salad and delicious fries. We ordered extra fries. And were we ever glad we did. They were sooooo good.
My husband's dish was also delicious the poutine was not the usual one. It was served with marchez sausages beautiful soft cheese curds and an unusual
gravy that was so well suited to the dish. The portions are very generous.
As mentioned before they have a good choice of very tasty vegetarian dishes ( mine was )
Very yummy altogether!

Really nice place. Rustic looking and had a covered porch.
We found place only upstairs as the place was busy and were looking forward to a nice evening.
The problem we had was that they made us wait about 45 minutes and when we asked what happened to our food the waitress rudely glanced at us a said " it won't be too long sir " ( all in French as both my wide and I speak French). She did not even stop to see if we needed anything else or to offer something to the two kids we had with us as they were clearly hungry. Her attitude was really something i have not experienced in years from any restaurant.
The food when it did arrive was not cooked as requested ( the veal liver was very well done although I asked for medium and the linguine my wife had were not very appetizing). The kids liked their General Tao chicken.
The owner or manager later tried to excuse the bad service as hey had two large tables to serve but we could not accept that as there was no basis for the rudeness of the waitress.
Conclusion : The place is overpriced for the food they offer. I am sure other servers would have handled the situation better but unfortunately we got the " bad apple".

We paid a flat fee of $12 for breakfast which entitled us to choose anything from their breakfast menu, and included tax, tip, and even an extra charge for the cranberry/chocolate chip toast bread! I had the yogurt/cereal/berry cup (delicious) and my spouse had the pancake and fresh fruit. Beautiful view of the Fleuve St. Laurent. Staff is super friendly. Small portion of homemade strawberry jam....very fresh and the strawberries still have body/texture (not mushy like commercially made jams). Good value for the cost. Must try.
