Kitchen is not a regular restaurant but a restaurant theater where the food, the chef and the staff are the stars !. The chef is entertaining with good sense of humor and has amazing culinary skills. The staff was attentive, friendly and ready to make the evening spectacular for us.
We were here for about 4 hours but didnt feel it was too long. The food was extensive, in addition to the course menu, the intermission had spread of gourmet food ( Sushi, tacos and other snacks). We were served a platter of dessert along with the dessert course and a take out box to take it home.
On arrival we were encourage to roam the back kitchen and pantry where small plates were offered.
All in all incredible experience watching chef and crew make food in front of us, entertaining talks and amazing food.

We travel to Cuba in November and visited Sol Cubano to get a taste of what to expect. My wife went to Cuba in 2010 and the food was not good due to the embargo. Information available now, and at the restaurant, says now it is getting back to the historical past. We enjoyed our dinner at Sol Cubano and conversation with the waiter. The food was tasty and we will be back. The Papa rellena was very good, make sure to order an empanada, and the pork was delicious.

Ginger Elizabeth Chocolate

Reviewed By Semisweetreverie - Sacramento, California

This place is top notch! They use locally sourced high quality ingredients. I have been to Paris and eaten at all of the top macaron places, and I think Ginger Elizabeth's are better. I love that they don't use artificial flavors, or colors. The price for a macaron is fair and they really are delicious. The chocolate is amazing as well, but I'm just as pleased with Dove chocolate, as chocolates are not my favorite. Rest assured that Ginger's Elizabeth's chocolates will always be delicious and much higher quality than of course the name brand store bought chocolate. The ice cream is amazing as well! There was a coffee bourbon one that was the best ice cream I have ever had. Unfortunately, the ice cream flavors change, so I'm not sure if I will ever get that kind again, but it was the best! The bright side to the flavors of ice cream changing is that you can try so many different kinds that you never would have thought of. You can definitely tell when something is made with the best ingredients. It's worth the price. If you are the type of person that would prefer store bought low quality, then yes, the prices will seem high. But I'll gladly pay for quality. The store is always clean and the staff is always friendly. I can't say enough good things! And their products make awesome gifts! If you haven't tried it, you definitely should!

I go here quite often and always get excellent service. The staff are speedy and friendly and treat you like you are a regular if it is your 1st or 80th time going there. I like the fact that they give you a free drink after a few purchases. The drinks are always well made, my favorite is either the spiced or vanilla chilly chai or a white mocha. There is also local artwork on the walls (that can be purchased).

Taqueria Mi Lindo Apatzingan

Reviewed By gparrott - Sacramento, CA

Went there about a week ago with two friends to try out this "highly recommended" place in Rio Linda; it was even farther "north" than I expected and certainly in a typical "Rio Linda" setting (= NOT upscale at all). Prices were fair for the quality and size of the servings, BUT I would NOT drive there again (from W. Sacramento) as it was "good," but not the absolutely "4 Star" rating the major paper assigned. YES, it is authentic, but I,personally, prefer the Chile rellano in a number of other places. IMHO, Casa Ramos (various locations" is worth a 20 mile drive, but ....not this option.

Original Granites

Reviewed By Steven W - Sacramento, California

I've only been to Rio Linda a few times in the past and this was the first time I've eaten there. A friend and I were there and decided to grab some lunch. This place looked interesting, so we made the stop. It's set up like a fast food place, but has a little bit of a diner feel, although the only seating is a few picnic tables outside. We ordered a cheese-steak sandwich and an Italian beef sandwich. Also got a side of cheese fries and a banana shake. Everything was great. The sandwiches had great flavor and seasoning. The cheese fries had loads of cheese and the shake was thick, but drinkable through a straw. They also serve cold subs, burgers and wings. Overall, a surprising find that we'd definitely re-visit. It seems to be a popular place, since it was buzzing with people coming and going the entire time we were there. Because it was busy, it took a while to get our food, but it was worth the wait.
